Zhou Hits an Ace Against Vogelsang

Level 19 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Thomas Muehloecker raised to 225,000 under the gun and was called by Tom Vogelsang in middle position and Quan Zhou in the big blind.

Action checked to Vogelsang on the 655 flop and he bet 200,000. Only Zhou called to see the A turn.

Vogelsang then bet 600,000, and Zhou again called. Both players checked down the 4 river, and Zhou showed A10 for two pair. Vogelsang mucked 22.

Gha Iakobishvili Eliminated in 9th Place ($145,000)

Level 19 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Gha Iakobishvili
Gha Iakobishvili

Gha Iakobishvili put in his last 95,000 under the gun and Thomas Muehloecker raised to 250,000 in middle position. Tom Vogelsang then reraised to 700,000 in the hijack, and Muehloecker folded A8.

Gha Iakobishvili: KJ All in
Tom Vogelsang: AK

Iakobishvili was dominated and at risk as the 984 flop gave Vogelsang a bigger lead with a flush draw. The 6 turn left Iakobishvili with just two outs going to the river, and no miracles arrived on the 10 as he was sent to the rail in ninth place, but not before recording his third final table appearance in as many events this festival.

Vogelsang Can't Chase Away Yaroshevskyy

Level 19 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Igor Yaroshevskyy raised to 200,000 in early position with QJ and Tom Vogelsang called on the button.

The flop came K84 and Yaroshevskyy continued for 175,000. Vogelsang then raised to 525,000, and Yaroshevskyy called with his flush draw.

Yaroshevskyy hit a pair on the J turn and checked to Vogelsang, who this time checked back. Yaroshevskyy then bet 400,000 on the K river, and Vogelsang folded 22.

Vogelsang Gets a Bluff Through Guilbert

Level 19 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Johan Guilbert was still stacking up his chips from his massive double up when he opened to 200,000 under the gun. Sergio Fernandez then picked up JJ in the small blind and moved all in for 1,355,000, and Guilbert folded.

Joseph Oren then raised to 200,000 under the gun with K9 and Tom Vogelsang called in the small blind holding A3, as did Guilbert in the big blind.

All three players checked the 654 flop. Vogelsang led out for 280,000 on the 10 turn, and only Guilbert called.

The river was the Q and Vogelsang bet another 820,000. Guilbert used up a time bank as he pondered the decision. "Well, my friend. I think you are value-betting. If I think you are value-betting, I can't beat you. Because of that I will fold. That's my conclusion after this time-bank taking," Guilbert said as he folded 76.

Guilbert Leaves Iakobishvili on Fumes After Massive Bluff Gone Wrong

Level 19 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Tom Vogelsang raised to 200,000 under the gun before Johan Guilbert three-bet to 550,000 in early position. Gha Iakobishvili then three-bet to 1,100,000 in the cutoff, and Vogelsang laid down JJ.

Guilbert, leaning over the table receiving a massage, took a minute before emerging with a four-bet to 1,750,000, and Iakobishvili called. The flop came 888 and Guilbert again took his time before betting 1,075,000. Iakobishvili then moved all in, and Guilbert snap-called for 3,830,000.

Johan Guilbert: AA All in
Gha Iakobishvili: KQ

Iakobishvili had been caught making a big move as Guilbert showed down a full house with his aces. The two players had nearly identical stacks, and Guilbert left Iakobishvili drawing dead after the 2 turn. The river was the J and Guilbert doubled up, leaving Iakobishvili with less than a big blind.

Daniel Thaller Eliminated in 10th Place ($120,000)

Level 19 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Daniel Thaller
Daniel Thaller

A hand after doubling up, Daniel Thaller shoved for 960,000 from the small blind and Quan Zhou called in the big blind.

Daniel Thaller: 98 All in
Quan Zhou: A7

Thaller had the same hand he had just doubled up against, and he had the same luck as Sergio Fernandez as the 10334K board offered no help and sent him to the rail in 10th place.

"Nine-eight never wins," Fernandez said.

The remaining nine players are taking their seats at the final table.
