Ladva Drills the River to Survive

Level 23 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Ottomar Ladva
Ottomar Ladva

Boris Kolev made it 350,000 from the cutoff before Ottomar Ladva three-bet to 1,700,000 from the small blind. Kolev four-bet ripped it, and Ladva called for his stack of 3,385,000.

Boris Kolev: AK

Kolev's big slick had Ladva crushed, and unless Ladva found a jack or clubs, he would be the next casualty of the Main Event.

Ladva picked up a flush draw on the 7Q4 flop. The 8 on the turn was clean for Kolev, but the J to complete the board was not, as Ladva spiked a pair of jacks to survive.

Level 23 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Patrik Antonius raised to 350,000 in the hijack with A8 and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau called in the small blind holding 44.

The flop came 932 and Antonius bet 275,000. Vaskaboinikau then raised to 650,000, and Antonius came back with a reraise to 1,300,000 with ace-high. Vaskaboinikau quickly folded his pair.

The next hand, Vaskaboinikau opened to 320,000 on the button with J10 before Boris Kolev three-bet to 1,080,000 in the small blind. Vaskaboinikau instantly moved all in for 4,250,000, and Kolev folded KJ.

Another check came from Vaskaboinikau, and Kolev slid out a bet of 625,000. Vaskaboinikau check-jammed, covering Kolev, and Kolev called for his stack of 2,300,000.

Daniil Kiselev Eliminated in 8th Place ($124,000)

Level 23 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Daniil Kiselev
Daniil Kiselev

Patrik Antonius raised to 350,000 in middle position and Daniil Kiselev called in the big blind.

The flop came KJ5 and Antonius bet 325,000. Kiselev called to see the 2 turn, where Antonius bet another 800,000. Kiselev again called.

The river was the 10 and Antonius bet enough to put Kiselev all in. Kiselev covered his face with the collar of his sweater and took his green rubber duck off his chips as he went into the tank, using up a few time banks before calling for his last 2,265,000.

Antonius turned over K10 for two pair, and Kiselev flung his arms in the air in frustration as he sent J10 into the muck before making his exit in eighth place.

Level 23 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Ottomar Ladva raised under the gun to 320,000 with 1010, and Geoffrey Mooney three-bet to 800,000 with AK from middle position. Ladva used a few time banks before sliding in a call.

The dealer fanned out the 36K flop, and Ladva started out with a check. Mooney announced a bet of 1,000,000, resulting in a fold from Ladva.

On the next hand, Matthias Lipp opened AK to 320,000 in middle position and Kirill Shcherbakov three-bet to 1,200,000 out of the small blind. Lipp clicked it back to 2,000,000, and Shcherbakov tossed away J10.

The hand after doubling up Kirill Shcherbakov, Geoffrey Mooney picked up KK in the hijack and raised to 400,000. Both Boris Kolev and Daniil Kiselev called in the blinds.

Mooney hit top set on the KJ7 flop and continued for 400,000. Only Kiselev called.

The turn was the 3 and Mooney bet another 1,000,000. Kiselev folded 109, and Mooney regained some of his lost chips.
