After an open to 2,000 in middle position, Gordon Nelson elected to defend his big blind with a call. They saw the flop heads up, and Nelson checked to the raiser who tossed out a bet of 1,000.
Nelson called, and the turn came . Nelson elected to lead out for 1,000 this time, and got a call. The river brought the and Nelson again led out, this time for 2,000. His opponent made the call, but mucked his hand when Nelson showed for the flopped pair, and rivered Broadway.

After an early position raise to 2,500, Kurt Steffl called from the cutoff, as did the player in the big blind. The flop came down three handed and it checked to Steffl who announced all in for about 12,000 chips.
The big blind got out of the way, but the original caller made a quick call. His was out flopped by the to Steffl.
Dinner is over, and players are back in the Multi-Purpose Room (aka Tatanka Tipi Room) ready for play in Level 11. There are six more levels of play before Day 1b is done.

The end of Level 10 marks the dinner break. Players will be away from the felt for an hour as they fill their bellies, and will return for Level 11 with blinds at 500/1,000/1,000.
Action folded to Pete Fylyma on the hijack, and he raised to 1,600. He was called by the player in the small blind, and they saw the flop heads up.
Action checked around on the flop and the turn came . After a check, Fylyma bet out 2,000 and was called. The river came and both players checked. Fylyma tabled and his opponent mucked their hand.

Meanwhile, Mike Cartwright couldn't stage a comeback after his double, and busted shortly thereafter, as did Pavel Krumer on another table.

On the first of two hands from the same table, action was on the flop of and Fred Werezak was facing a shove from Mike Cartwright. Werezak hit the tank hard, checking and rechecking his cards several times, slamming his card protector back down on top of them each time.
Werezak's life was on the line, as Cartwright had a bigger stack, but he finally tossed in the call. He was ahead with versus the of Cartwright, and the rest of the board was clean, sending the pot to Werezak and leaving Cartwright with just 5,750 remaining.
The very next hand, Cartwright was all in and called from the button. He was in rough shape with a dominated ace-six versus the ace-jack of his opponent, but he rivered two pairs on the board to survive.
