Kaupo Tenno has the least desirable seat in the room — to the right of overwhelming chip leader Joris Ruijs — and was put to two river decisions in short succession. First, in a blind battle, Tenno bet 9k on a board containing two fours and two aces but folded to a raise to 32,000 from Ruijs.
A few hands later, it was Tenno who had bet 15,000 on a board. This time, Ruijs made it 52,000 to go and once again, Tenno opted to fold his hand.

Over at table 8, a pot was brewing between Veli-Pekka Alakorva and his left-hand neighbor Kasper Mellanen. On the turn with the board reading , Alakorva bet 45,000 from the big blind and Mellanen called in position.
The river brought the and Alakorva shoved all in for almost 170,000. Mellanen had a decision for his remaining stack of 140,000 and went deep in the tank. Alakorva, normally the liveliest player in the room, went uncharacteristically quiet, put on his sunglasses and put his hands over his mouth. Mellanen crossed his arms, studied the board and his opponent, then called it off for his tournament life.
"Good call, good call!" Alakorva loudly said in Finnish as he turned over for the airball. A relieved Mellanen slapped onto the felt and responded with "I was quite sure you had nothing" in his mother tongue as well.
"VP" was left with just seven bigs after the big clash.

Joris Ruijs added another scalp to his arsenal by eliminating Oscar Wikstrom. Ruijs had turned two pair and got it in against Wikstrom on that street, who had turned a pair plus flush draw. The flush didn't come in for the Swede, who had to part the tournament.
At the same time, two players busted at the adjacent tables to bring the field down to 23 and a redraw.

The Dutchman then bluffed it off with and shoved the river on a board. Kasper Mellanen, who had defended his big blind earlier in the hand, called it off with to leave Scholten with 9 big blinds.

Freek Scholten and Joris Ruijs traveled to Tallinn together and are sharing an Airbnb, but the friends certainly aren't going out of each other's way.
The board read and from the big blind, it was Ruijs who bet 42,500. Scholten took over a minute before shoving all in for 90,000, which made the chip leader visibly unhappy. He took over a minute himself before settling on a fold, and was allowed to reveal one card, the , from Scholten's hand.
