Dvoress Gets Tricky

Level 7 : 9,000/18,000, 18,000 ante

Sam Trickett raised to 35,000 from the cutoff and was called by Imad Derwiche on the button. Daniel Dvoress was in the small blind and thought for a moment before tossing in 60,000. The table was unclear as to whether he meant to min-raise or if it was a mistake. Either way, both Trickett and Derwiche made the call.

The flop came {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Dvoress checked to Trickett who bet 100,000. Derwiche and Dvoress called to see the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. The action was checked around to the {6-Clubs} on the river, at which point everyone checked again. Dvoress tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a full house and took down the pot.

Peters checked to Simao who fired 105,000. check-raised all in and Simao quickly called. Peters tabled {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for an open-ended straight draw and was up against the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Simao. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Clubs} on the river were no help to Peters and Simao doubled up for 782,000.
