"See You Later Guys"

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Philipp Gruissem is the early chip leader
Philipp Gruissem is the early chip leader

Philipp Gruissem raised to 1,000 and received calls by Matthias de Meulder and Jack Sinclair. Hossein Ensan on the button three-bet to 4,000 and Gruissem asked for his stack size. "Around 35,000," Ensan replied and Gruissem four-bet to 11,000. Both de Meulder and Sinclair quickly folded, but Ensan moved all in.

Gruissem snap-called and said "not a good timing" to see Ensan drawing very thin and in need of help.

Hossein Ensan: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Philipp Gruissem: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

It was all over after the turn of a board {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Spades} and Ensan left the table with a "see you later guys."

Ensan Fires All Three

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante
Jack Sinclair faces three bullets, as Kristen Bicknell looks on
Jack Sinclair faces three bullets, as Kristen Bicknell looks on

Jack Sinclair raised to 1,000 from the cutoff, with Hossein Ensan 3-betting to 3,700 from the small blind after Kristen Bicknell folded her button. Having already folded to a 3-bet the last two times he opened, Jack Sinclair wasn't about to fold and agreed to take a flop.

The two players went heads-up to {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} which, after some confusion as to whether or not he had checked, Ensan led for 6,000. Sinclair quickly called, as they headed to a {9-Clubs} turn. Ensan tossed in 13,000, which Sinclair called without much hesitation, before the {k-Clubs} came down on the river.

Ensan made eye contact with the dealer, announcing "all-in." Sinclair threw in a 5,000-value chip, indicating a call, which made Ensan pass his hand face-down. He was told he needed to reveal his hole cards, and showed {10-Spades}{3-Spades}, while Sinclair showed down {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and picked up a full double-up.

Sinclair Folds to de Meulder

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante

Matthias de Meulder raised to 700 from the button and Jack Sinclair three-bet to 2,000 from the small blind, which de Meulder called. On the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Sinclair continued for 2,000 and de Meulder called. The {K-Hearts} turn was checked by both players and Sinclair also checked the {Q-Diamonds} river.

De Meulder made it 4,500 to go and Sinclair reluctantly folded.

Loeser Back; Neuville and Lehmanski in

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante

Manig Loeser is the first player to fire a second bullet while Pierre Neuville and Maxi Lehmanski are both new entries to the field. During the first eight levels of play, unlimited re-entries are available and given the early action thus far, many further players are willing to fire more than once.

The First Two Casualties of the Day

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante

Manfred Frerichs lost the remainder of his stack to Kristen Bicknell while Manig Loeser also had a very brief stint at the tables.

Loeser lost almost all of his chips with pocket jacks against the {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Julian Thomas in the big blind, who back-doored the nut straight on a board of {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to score a full double. Loeser had very few chips left and busted soon after.

Five Bet Mayhem

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante
Jachtmann drags one of the more interesting pots so far
Jachtmann drags one of the more interesting pots so far

Fellow partypoker sponsored pros Jan-Peter Jachtmann and Anatoly Filatov have drawn the same table after the players were reshuffled to accomodate the opening of a third table.

Jachtmann wasted no time getting busy, raising to 800 from first position. He picked up no fewer than three callers, before Van Tiep Nguyen three-bet to 3,000 from the big blind. Jachtmann's response was to put in the four-bet to 7,900 before Andreas Eiler, who had previously just called the first raise, made a five-bet re-raise to 16,200.

Nguyen made the call, as the rest of the table fell quiet. Action was back on Jachtmann, who studied for a long time before tossing in a single 25,000-value chip to call. The three players took a {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop, which everyone quickly checked.

The {2-Diamonds} hit the turn, which checked around to Eiler, who put in a 13,500 bet. Nguyen folded, with Jachtmann making the check-raise to 40,000. Eiler dwelled for two full minutes before laying it down, with Jachtmann dragging one of the more interesting pots of the High Roller so far!
