Sander van Wesemael Calls Hossein Ensan’s Bluff

Level 4 : 250/500, 500 ante
Sander van Wesemael
Sander van Wesemael

Hossein Ensan checked it over to Sander van Wesemael on the flop of a board reading {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

van Wesemael bet 2,000 and Ensan called. The turn card was the {9-Hearts} and both players checked.

With the {2-Spades} completing the board and a door seemingly invitingly open, Ensan fired out a bet of 3,300. A one-chip call from van Wesemael saw Ensan’s cards hit the muck and van Wesemael collected the pot without showdown.

Always An Ace

Level 4 : 250/500, 500 ante
Wong pulls a pot away from Loeser
Wong pulls a pot away from Loeser

Manig Loeser raised to 1,300 from the cutoff, before Jonathan Wong put in the 3-bet to 4,000 from the big blind. Loeser put in the extra, as the two players went to a {q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop. Wong gave it some thought, before tapping the table indicating a check Loeser quickly checked behind as the {4-Spades} came down on the turn.

Wong reached into his stack, and pulled out a bet of 5,800, which Loeser matched without much hesitation. Both players checked the {2-Spades} river, with Wong rolling over {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} at showdown. Two black kings were good enough to take it down, and Wong pulled in the pot.

Bullet Two for Michaelis

Level 4 : 250/500, 500 ante

Paul Michaelis was among those few that had played, ran out of chips and entered for the second time for bullet two. Jonathan Wong just recently sat down while the same also applies for Kenny Hallaert.

Jachtmann Loses Some; de Meulder Builds Stack

Level 4 : 250/500, 500 ante

At the end of the previous level, a big pot emerged between Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the big blind and Benjamin Benoit on the button. The latter eventually check-called a bet worth 15,600 on the river of a board {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Benoit claimed the pot with {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for top pair and top kicker.

Matthias de Meulder opened to 1,100 and Kristen Bicknell in the cutoff three-bet to 3,000. Manig Loeser called from the small blind, as did de Meulder. On the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, the action checked to Bicknell and her continuation bet of 3,500 picked up two callers.

After everyone checked the {J-Spades} turn, de Meulder bet the {10-Spades} river for 16,800 and neither opponent was willing to pay that.

Gruissem Pressures Loeser

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was an open from the player on the button and small blind Manig Loeser, on his second bullet, and current chip leader big blind Philipp Gruissem came along for the ride.

The flop was {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} and a lead of 1,100 from Loeser saw Gruissem raise to 5,500. The original raiser folded but Loeser called.

With Gruissem in the one seat and Loeser in the eight there was little chance for either player to get a good look at their opponent.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Loeser check-called a bet of 13,000. The river was the {j-Diamonds} and Loeser checked for a final time before Gruissem bet 27,000 with Loeser’s remaining stack around the 75,000 mark.

Loeser thought for a couple of minutes before announcing he was all in. As the dealer was breaking down his stack Gruissem threw in his cards.

Bicknell Is Back In The Black

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Bicknall finds herself back above starting stack
Bicknall finds herself back above starting stack

Action was folded to partypoker pro Kristen Bicknall who opened to 1,100 on the button. Manig Loeser made the call from the big blind as they went heads up to a {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. Loeser checked over to Bicknall, and she reached small, throwing in an 800-chip continuation bet. Loeser quickly called as they headed to the turn.

The {6-Clubs} paired the board, with Loeser leading for 2,000 right into Bicknall. She casually took a sip of her drink as she raised it up to 6,000. Loeser conceded the pot, and Bicknall found herself back above the 100,000 starting stack.

Ensan Back In

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Oren Rosen and Benjamin Benoit won their entry through the satellite while Hossein Ensan bought back in for his second bullet. Ensan won the first small pot, then made it 2,000 to go on the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn. Sander van Wesemael called and the {6-Hearts} river was checked.

The Dutchman showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and that won the pot.

Bicknell Pays Off de Meulder

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Matthias de Meulder raised to 1,100 and Kristen Bicknell three-betto 3,000 from the cutoff, which the Belgian called. Both players checked a flop of {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} before de Meulder made it 5,500 to go on the {2-Diamonds} turn, Bicknell called.

After the {7-Hearts} river, de Meulder tossed in a T-25,000 chup and announced a bet of 20,000. The two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and partypoker team pro called and de Meulder rolled over {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a set as winning hand.

Andreas Eiler Pays To See Van Tiep Nguyen’s Cards

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Van Tiep Nguyen opened from the cut-off for 1,100 and picked up calls from Pierre Neuville, Jan-Peter Jachtmann and lastly Andreas Eiler in the big blind.

The flop was {2-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Eiler led out for 1,600. The remaining three players stuck around the turn card was the {7-Hearts}.

Eiler went bigger this time with a bet of 7,000. That got a call from Nguyen and folds from the other two.

The river card {3-Spades} completed the board and Eiler bet 8,000. Nguyen announced a raise to 25,000 and Eiler looked back at his hole cards, shook his head, and looked again before calling.

Nguyen showed his {k-Spades}{5-Spades} second nut flush and Eiler couldn’t top that and mucked.
