Passet Pairs Up

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Passet pulls in the pot, as Manig Loeser looks on
Passet pulls in the pot, as Manig Loeser looks on

Matthias de Meulder opened with a raise to 2,000 from the hijack, with action folding to Abraham Passet, who defended his big blind. The pair went heads up to a {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, where Passet check-called a 2,200 continuation bet from Meulder. The turn brought the {10-Diamonds}, which Passet check-called again, this time to the tune of 6,500.

The {10-Clubs} river double-paired the board, and Passet checked the action over to Meulder a third time. Much to Passet's chagrin, Meulder checked back, and Passet whipped over his {k-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the nut full house.

Some More for de Meulder

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Picking up the action on the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades} turn, Manig Loeser checked out of the big blind and Matthias de Meulder bet 5,800. Loeser called and quickly checked again the {9-Spades} river. De Meulder now bet 9,500 and Loeser tossed in two T-5,000 chips for the call.

As soon as de Meulder showed {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a full house, Loeser's cards went into the muck.

The Talk Pinches A Pot with Threes

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
The Talk - Quietly Chipping Back Up
The Talk - Quietly Chipping Back Up

Maxi Lehmanski kicked off the action by limping from under the gun for 800. Pierre Neuville decided to put out a double-handed raise to 2,800. The Talk came along in the big blind and Lehmanski put out the calling chips.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and it was checked to Neuville who bet 5,100. The Talk called and Lehmanski let it go.

The turn {9-Spades} and river {a-Clubs} saw no further action and after a brief pause The Talk showed his {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} with an increasing sense of confidence.

Neuville had another look back at his cards before he mucked and The Talk smiled and nodded as he continued on the comeback trail.

Small Pot for Hanna

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ismael Bojang entered when the cards were back in the air while Scott Hanna claimed a small pot against Moritz Dietrich. The latter bet the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop for 5,000 before the {8-Hearts} turn and {10-Hearts} river were checked. Hanna announced "nuts" and turned over {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, while Kenny Hallaert chimed in with a "not the nuts".

Sander van Wesemael joked "nuts when it goes check, check," and by then the pot was shipped to Hanna.

Jachtmann Bluffs Benoit

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On the heads-up turn of a board reading {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Benjamin Benoit bet 3,000 and Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the cutoff raised to 6,500. Benoit called and the {4-Diamonds} river completed the board triggering a check from Benoit. Jachtmann made it 11,700 to go and Benoit eventually folded.

"Yes, one time I wanted to bluff you," Jachtmann said and flashed {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Benoit pulled his cards back from the muck and said he was tempted to call, revealing {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Rosen Raises River

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Rosen raises the river versus Benjamin Benoit
Rosen raises the river versus Benjamin Benoit

Benjamin Benoit began with a call from the hijack, before Oren Rosen raised it to 3,000 next to act. Jan-Peter Jachtmann called on the button, with the big blind coming along as well. Four players took a {7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, which Benoit led for 3,000. Rosen made the call, with the other players folding, as he and Benoit went heads up to the {3-Spades} turn.

Both players quickly checked, before the {q-Clubs} landed on the river. Benoit very fluidly reached for 5,100 and tossed them over the betting line. After 30 seconds or so, Rosen reached for his stack, but he wasn't planning on calling, and raised it up to 10,500. Benoit reluctantly gave it up, conceding the pot to Rosen, who showed the {5-Clubs}.
