Day 3 Started
There will be 173 players returning to the Playground Poker Club on May 8th for Day 3 of the partypoker MILLION North America Main event. The official number of entries closed yesterday with 1168 entrants, surpassing the CA$5,000,000 guaranteed prizepool. At the conclusion of Day 5, the winner will be taking home CA$1,000,000 and the largest title in Canadian live poker history.
Leading the way heading into Day 3 is James Romero, 2016 WPT Five Diamond Main Event Champion for nearly $2 million, with 19,655,000 chips. Close behind him is Upeshka De Silva (18,525,000) and Karim Abdelhamid (17,970,000).
Day 3 will start at 12:00 p.m. local time and continue for eight levels of play. Blind levels will remain at 75-minutes for the duration of the day and will start off at 60,000/120,000 with 10,000 ante. Tables will all be 8-handed now until the final table begins with 9 players.

partypoker's own Tony Dunst was the first to be eliminated today, starting the day with just 1,195,000 chips. He was seen leaving the tournament area, and the table explained how he got it in good but couldn't hold.
Dunst raised it up with two queens, and Jordan Saccucci decided to defend his big blind with . The flop brought three spades, and the two players got it all in.
The turn paired the board, giving Dunst some more outs along with his lone queen of spades, but the river was a brick, sending Dunst home early.

There has been no shortage of action early on as Christian Harder was all in on a board that read . His opponent, Mingzhe Zhang took his time to think about the decision as his tournament life was on the line. Not long after, Zhang made the call and Harder tabled . Zhang, however, held for a bigger a full house and took most of Christian Harder's chips. Zhang now holds one of the largest stacks in the room early on in Day 3.

John Xenos limped in from under the gun, and Dhaval Joshi raised to 275,000. Chanracy Khun was in the small blind and three-bet to 875,000. Xenos folded, and Joshi called.
The flop came and both players checked to the turn, which was the . Khun checked, and Joshi bet 1,375,000. Khun paused for a moment and eventually called.
The river was the . Khun checked for a third time, and Joshi fired out a bet of 2,500,000. Khun went deep into the tank, and finally called after a couple of minutes. Joshi was reluctant to table his hand and said, "You're good. Ace high." Khun waited for Joshi to table his hand, but he was waiting for Khun to table his. Eventually he said, "If you don't show, I don't have to show" and Joshi finally tabled . Khun revealed and raked in the pot.

With about 1,500,000 in the pot already, the board read . Terry Lee made a bet of 625,000 which was called by James Romero. The action was on Sylvain Siebert on the button, who raised to 1,500,000. Lee moved all in for 2,520,000 and Romero got out of the way. Siebert instantly called and the cards were tabled.

Siebert flopped a straight and Lee was in dire straits. The turn gave Lee some hope when the hit the felt. When the fell on the river pairing the board, Lee let out a big "YES!!", loud enough for everyone in the room to hear and gather around the table.
