Two Jams and No Call

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

Keith Johnson three-bet all in for 215,500 out of the big blind and initial raiser Govert Metaal eventually folded.

Over on the feature table, Jason Wheeler recovered some chips while Niall Farrell was all in for the last 159,000 out of the big blind. Dominik Nitsche had raised to 32,000 on the button and folded.

Nolet Runs Out of Chips

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

After a raise by Laszlo Bujtas, Guillaume Nolet moved in for his last 140,000 out of the big blind and Bujtas called.

Guillaume Nolet: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Laszlo Bujtas: {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Bujtas took the lead, which didn't change anymore after the {J-Diamonds} turn and {J-Spades} river completed the board.

Waters Doubles Through Schwippert

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

Within quick succession, Jan-Eric Schwippert has taken another hit and just had to forfeit 238,500, as that's how much Oliver Waters was all in for with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Schwippert also held a pocket pair in {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, but the board of {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades} failed to improve the German.

Schwippert lost more than half his stack and went from big stack to under pressure in less than 15 minutes.

Govert Metaal Hits Huge River to Bust Mitchell Johnson

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Mitchell Johnson raised to 26,000 from the button and made the call when Govert Metaal made it 76,000 out of the big blind. The flop was {3-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Metaal bet 65,000. Johnson called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts}, and this time the bet was 125,000. Johnson called again leaving 190,000 chips behind. The river was the {10-Hearts}, and Metaal pushed all-in after deliberating for a minute. Johnson needed more time than that, however. The Brit thought long and hard, but ultimately put his tower of purple chips over the line.

Metaal showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the rivered set, and a clearly surprised Johnson frustrated slid the rest of chips over the betting line for Metaal to get.

With that pot Metaal moves over the one million chips mark as well. 18 players remain.

Silver and Merrilees Double

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Over on the secondary table, Jan-Eric Schwippert raised to 26,000 from the cutoff and Max Silver moved all in for 219,500 from the small blind, which Schwippert called.

Max Silver: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Jan-Eric Schwippert: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

"That's a scary flop" Silver said with a smile on the face when the first three community cards showed {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}. However, the {4-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river were both blanks and the Brit doubled.

At the same time on the feature table, the board was already completed, showing {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Daniel Merrilees checked with a stack of 101,500 remaining and more than 240,000 in the middle. Jason Wheeler moved all in from under the gun and Merrilees called all in with the {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for two pair, Wheeler was caught bluffing with {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Simao Takes from Wheeler

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Partypoker pro Joao Simao and Jason Wheeler are the two big stacks over on the feature table and both just clashed in a pot that went all the way to the river, but didn't result in a showdown.

Simao defended his big blind and check-called a bet worth 30,000 on the {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. On the {J-Spades} turn the duo checked and Simao also checked the {A-Spades} river. Wheeler made it 50,000 to go and then faced a check-raise to 205,000 by Simao, which won the pot without showdown.

Segebrecht Busts to Nitsche in Battle of Germans

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

There were four Germans left in the tournament and three of them ended up on the feature table, but that number was just reduced by one. Dominik Nitsche made it 25,000 to go from the hijack and Segebrecht shoved for around 250,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Nitsche, who quickly tossed in a single chip.

Claas Segebrecht: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Dominik Nitsche: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop of {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} changed nothing whatsoever, but Segebrecht picked up some chop outs on the {4-Hearts} turn. The {K-Diamonds} river was a brick and the German sent over his stack to the fellow countryman before departing.

Aymon Hata Eliminated

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Vojtech Ruzicka defended his small blind and check-called a bet worth 38,000 on the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} turn against Ben Heath before the {8-Spades} river was checked. Ruzicka showed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and that won the pot.

One hand later, Aymon Hata shoved for his last 42,500 from the cutoff and Ruzicka asked for a count on the button, then called. The blinds got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Aymon Hata: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Vojtech Ruzicka: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

After a board of {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}, Hata tapped the table in defeat and left the tournament area, while Ruzicka closed onto one million in chips.

Slow Restart; Hata Chops

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

There are 22 players remaining and the feature table changed, which now includes partypoker pro Joao Simao. Claas Segebrecht was all in but didn't get a caller while over on the second table, Jan-Eric Schwippert defended the big blind against a raise to 27,000 by Vojtech Ruzicka on the button.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Schwippert checked, Ruzicka continued for 21,000 and that did the trick.

Soon after, Aymon Hata moved all in out of the big blind over an open raise by Tom Hall and the latter quicky called.

Aymon Hata: {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Tom Hall: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The board came {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and both chopped it up.
