Quads for Robertson

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 7,000 ante

The board read {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and David Benoit-Janin bet 53,000 from the small blind. Peter Robertson raised to 225,000 from under the gun. Daniel Edler considered his options from the hijack but then opted to call. Joep Raemaekers folded on the button and so did Benoit-Janin in the end. Robertson tabled {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the runner-runner quads to make Edler muck his hand to scoop the pot.

The hand after that, Michael Kane raised to 22,000 from early position and got called by Benoit-Janin on the button and Robertson in the big blind.

The flop brought them the {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, both Robertson and Kane check-folded to the 35,000 continuation-bet of Benoit-Janin.

A Small Pot for Cimbolas

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 7,000 ante

Bas de Laat, Marc MacDonnell, and Matas Cimbolas all just registered and a new table was opened with the three of them and some other players from the existing tables to make up a fresh one.

De Laat raised to 23,000 from the button and was called by Cimbolas in the big blind.

They both checked through the {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Spades} on the flop and the {6-Hearts} on the turn to the {2-Hearts} on the river. Cimbolas glanced at De Laat and decided to bet 16,000. De Laat took a few seconds but then let his hand go.

Tureniec First to Bust Today

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Tureniec was not on his seat anymore and Kenny Hallaert was sporting a significantly bigger stack. Hallaert was kind enough to relate what had happened.

Philip Gregg limped in from under the gun and Hallaert raised to 50,000 from the hijack. Action folded to Tureniec in the big blind who three-bet to 170,000. Gregg quickly folded and Hallaert called.

The flop was {9-}{8-}{4-} rainbow. Tureniec bet 100,000 and Hallaert called.

The turn was the {7-} to not bring a flush draw. Tureniec fired another bet of 230,000 or 250,000. Hallaert shoved and Tureniec called with the slightly shorter stack.

Tureniec had {k-}{k-} and Hallaert held {a-}{a-}. The river completed the board with the {a-Spades} for Hallaert to improve to a set of aces to eliminate Tureniec.
