Simm Eliminates Moorman

Level 6 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Daniel Charlton raised from the cutoff and Tom Simm three-bet from the small blind. Chris Moorman was in the big blind and moved all in for around 400,000. Charlton folded, but Simm called and was ahead.

Tom Simm: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Chris Moorman: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Board: {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Moorman was behind with a worse kicker, and his chances of survival were dented even more when Simm paired his king on the flop. Moorman needed to hit a jack to survive, but the ten on the turn and queen on the river were no help to him.

Simm took down the pot and moved up to 1.5m

Level 6 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Ram Vaswani shoved for 276,000 in the small blind and Kfir Ivgi asked for a count in without even looking at his hand. The dealer confirmed the amount.

partypoker pro Jouhkimainen Doubles Up

Level 6 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

partypoker pro, Joni Jouhkimainen raised to 36,000 from under the gun and action folded to Johan Storakers in the cutoff who three-bet to 83,000. The rest of the table folded and Jouhkimainen called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Jouhkimainen checked and Storakers bet 165,000. Jouhkimainen pondered for a bit and then decided to shove. The dealer counted most of it out when Storakers made the call.

Joni Jouhkimainen: {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Johan Storakers: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Jouhkimainen had flopped a straight and also had a shot of improving it to a flush or even straight flush. Storakers held the overpair.

The turn was the {K-Spades}.

"Interesting," Jouhkimainen responded. "Ten?"

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades} which meant that Jouhkimainen held on to double up for the 783,000 he had behind.
