As is to be expected, the UK Poker Championships are attracting the best and the brightest of British poker, and Chris Brammer is one of them. Brammer won his first bracelet last year in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $527,555 and is now in Nottingham for the UK Championships.
"I came up especially for this," said Brammer. "I come maybe once or twice a year depends on what tournaments they have; whether they have something similar or not.
"I haven't really played too much so far this year. I'm going to go to Barcelona for the partypoker MILLIONS there and I'm looking forward to that one, and then Vegas!"
Brammer will no doubt be looking for a repeat of his 2017 success in Sin City, but he says that he's looking forward to it just like any other tournament.
"I think that they've made some changes which I really like. They've brought the Main Event forward and put some events afterwards. That fits quite well with what I want to do out there."
Brammer is sitting on well over 200,000 as players come back from their break.

Yesterday Steven Morris saw off a star-studded field to take down the £5,300 Super High Roller as part of the UK Poker Championships. He won £70,000 for the biggest result of his career, and is now back in action and having a good time of it it seems. Morris recently moved tables and is now sat with 225,000.
