Right before the end of the last level, Abdelhakim Zoufri raised from the cutoff to 175,000 and Christian Willax called from the button. The small blind got out of the way but Vladimir Troyanovskiy put his last 1,150,000 in the middle from the big blind. Zoufri got out of the way and a quick called followed by Willax.

Freek Scholten was eliminated by Day 1b chip leader Freddy Deeb and was kind enough to tell what happened.
''Deeb opened from the small blind to 300,000 and I called from the big blind with ace-eight of spades. The flop was eight-five-four with two clubs and he checked to me. I bet 275,000 and he went all in for effectively 2,700,000. I called and he turned over six-five off suit. The turn was a five and the river a nine.''
Paul Hoefer jammed his last 835,000 in the middle from early position but he wasn't called. The next hand he did the same but from under the gun. Freek Scholten pushed all in as well this time and they opened up.
