Punish the Limpers

Level 7 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

There were a couple of limps from early position and David Eldridge raised it up to 6,000 on the button. Henrik Hecklen called from the big blind along with the limpers, one of them being Kahle Burns.

The flop fell {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the action checked around to the {q-Clubs} on the turn. Once again, the action checked to Eldridge who was ready to fire in a bet this time. He made it 19,000 and Hecklen quickly folded. The under-the-gun player thought for a minute but let his hand go and Burns quickly followed suit.

Deion Sanders Does the Trick as Tardif Gets Bluffed

Level 7 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

On a {9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} board, Patrick Tardif checked and his opponent bet 9,700. Tardif called.

Tardif checked for the second time on the {k-Clubs} turn.

"Let's try again," his opponent said. "You know Deion Sanders?"

Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders wore the number 21 for much of his 14-year career in the NFL and the bet was 21,000.

Tardiff eventually folded.

"You want me to show?" asked his opponent.

"You don't have to," came the reply from Tardif, but he was shown {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for an eight-high bluff.

Big Turn Card for Riess

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

There was a raise to 3,000 from under the gun and next to act was Erik Seidel who called. Ryan Riess in the hijack, the button, and Toby Lewis in the big blind also came along. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and all five players knuckled the table.

The {k-Spades} landed on the turn and the action checked to Seidel who bet 10,000. Riess called along with the button and Lewis. The river was the {9-Hearts} and both Lewis and Seidel checked. Riess flicked in a bet of 25,000 and it folded back to Seidel who instantly called.

Riess flipped over {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for the nut straight and Seidel's cards quickly hit the muck.

Frank and Seymour Clash in the Blinds

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The action folded around to Christopher Frank in the small blind who just limped in. Richard Seymour raised to 5,000 in the big blind and Frank called. The flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Frank checked to Seymour who bet 4,000. Frank check-raised to 13,500 and Seymour quickly called.

The {3-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and Frank fired out another 23,000. Seymour still called and the {k-Spades} completed the board. Frank splashed in a bet of 65,000 and Seymour thought for over a minute before finally let his cards go. Frank turned over the {6-Spades} but that's all he would show.
