A very heated argument just took place at table #121 and effectively stopped play for more than 15 minutes. On a board of ![]()

, a player had fired out 13,000 into a pot of 24,000, and Xenos Quintin Schirmer had rather quickly made the call.

, and Schirmer had proceeded to table his hand - ![]()
- turn it over and slide it over the betting line towards the muck thinking he had lost.
At least one of the players at the table had pointed out that Schirmer's top two pair were still good for the pot, and that had lead to quite a stalemate, where Schirmer argued he did show down his hand while his opponent argued it was mucked.
Ultimately tournament director Christian Scalzi was summoned, and after conferring with the players, dealer and some colleagues in the tournament staff the hand was ruled live. Schirmer was awarded the pot, and though Scalzi and his team could finally move on and play resumed at the table, so did the argument.
