Jeff Madsen limped from the small blind and Travis Carson checked his option from the big. The flop came down and Madsen led out with a bet of 1,500. Carson opted to raise to 3,750 only to have Madsen grab a stack of chips and plunk them down on the table. Carson only had around 14,000 total and made the call:
Madsen:
Carson:
Carson had flopped top pair with a good kicker but was still behing the two pair of Madsen. The turn gave Carson some extra outs, but the on the river sent him to the rail.
Alex Wice checked to Shaun Deeb with the board reading . Deeb fired 3,000, Wice raised to 9,100, Deeb re-raised to 16,700 and Wice called.
The river was the and Wice checked to Deeb who reached for his bounty chips and plunked them in the middle, signaling he was all in. Wice snapped if off tabling for a queen-high straight and Deeb mucked his hand unhappily.
Over at Table 1, action folded to Andrew Chen in the small blind and he raised to 2,200. Matthew Waxman was in the big blind and defended with a reraise to 4,800. Chen refused to back down and popped it to 10,000. Waxman looked as if he wanted to call but ultimately tossed his cards in the muck.
"You can see one card," Chen offered.
"Pick that one," Jeff Madsen chimed in as he pointed to the top card.
"I don't want to pick a card," Waxman replied. "Show both or don't show."
Chen smiled and silently slid his cards to the dealer. "Don't you want free information?" Madsen asked somewhat mockingly.
Faraz Jaka started with the button and opened to 1,800. Shaun Deeb three-bet to 3,600 from the small blind, Alex Wice folded his big blind and Jaka four-bet jammed. Deeb called.
Jaka:
Deeb:
The flop gave Deeb a set of queens, but Jaka could still double with a king for broadway. The on the turn was a brick and so too was the on the river though, and Jaka was eliminated from the tournament.
Deeb is now heads up with the chip lead while we assume Jaka is off to register for the $25,000 High Roller tournament.
Jeff Madsen raised to 2,000 under the gun and was called by Brandon Adams in the cutoff and Matthew Waxman in the big blind. Waxman checked in the dark as the flop fell . Madsen then continuation bet 3,200, Adams called, and Waxman got out of the way.
It was heads up to the turn. Madsen decided to slow down with a check and Adams took the opportunity to bet 6,000. Madsen then check-raised all in for 13,975, which barely had Adams covered. Adams called and discovered the bad news; his was drawing dead against the of Madsen. The was put out on the river for good measure as Adams was eliminated from the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Bounty Shootout.
Michael Binger raised to 1,500 from the small blind and Marton Czuczor moved all in from the big blind for 20,425. Binger snap-called and the cards were turned over:
Binger:
Czuczor:
Binger was in great shape to eliminate his opponent, all he needed to do was dodge a deuce. He did just that when the board ran out . Czuczor hit the rail and left Binger (78,000) to do battle with Johannes Van Til (72,000) in heads-up action.
Johannes Van Til opened for a raise from under the gun and PokerStars Team Pro Greg Debora moved all in on the button for 13,650. The blinds quickly folded and Van Til called immediately.
Van Til:
Debora:
The flop was a disaster for Debora and he was drawing dead after the turned. The on the river was just a formality and Debora shook some hands before hitting the rail.
