Team PokerStars Pro (Italy) Minieri cleaned house yesterday at his Round 1 table, knocking out all the other players and collecting five bounties. It seem Minieri is using a similar aggressive game here today.
Recently, Chris Klodnicki raised to 600 and was called by David "ODB" Baker on the button. After the small blind folded, Minieri popped it to 2,500 from the big. The pressure was back on Klodnicki who quickly folded. After a few moments of deliberation, Baker followed suit. Minieri took down the small pot without seeing a flop.
With a board reading , Ville Wahlbeck checked from the small blind and Jesse Martin bet 2,250 from the big. Wahlbeck made the call as the peeled off on the river. Both players checked and Wahlbeck flipped over , good enough to take down the modest pot.
Action folded to George Lind III on the button and he raised to 525. William Pilossoph then made it 1,425 to go from the small blind, which Lind called. When the flop came down , Pilossoph bet 1,850 only to have Lind raise to 4,000. Pilossoph retaliated with a raise of his own to around 10,000 and Lind folded before the dealer could even announce the amount. Lind is down to 14,000.
With 3,550 in the pot and a flop of , Darren Elias bet 2,250 and George Lind III called. When the hit the turn, Elias bet 5,125 and Lind folded his hand. Not too exciting, but then again these early levels usually aren't.

Binger:
Van Til:
It was a good old fashion race headed to the flop, which came down . Van Til had hit his ten to take the lead as the dealer burned and turned the . Binger could now hit a four, six, or any club to knock out his opponent. As fate would have it, the spiked on the river! Chen:
"That's a good hand," Madsen joked when he saw Chen's hand, and indeed it was one of the worst hands he could be up against. The on the turn was not a club so it kept Madsen alive, but he couldn't find a king or seven on the river when the dealer burned and turned the .
Madsen will have to settle with $10,000 for winning his first table while Chen is now guaranteed $30,000, a seat at the televised final table and a shot at the $200,000 first prize.
With 9,300 in the pot and a board reading , Andrew Chen checked, Jeff Madsen bet 5,150, Chen check-raised to 12,000, Madsen reraised to 20,450, and Chen smooth-called. Both player proceeded to check the turn and the appeared on the river. Chen led out for 20,000 and Madsen silently folded his cards.
With that win, Chen took a 95,000 to 55,000 chip lead.
Johannes Van Til is battling with a short stack against Michael Binger and is on a roller coaster this level.
In one hand both players checked after the flop came and Binger led for 3,300 after the turned. Van Til called. The river was the and Binger checked to Van Til who fired 8,000. Binger put in a healthy check-raise to 28,000 and Van Til quickly folded.
Van Til got some of those chips back in a later hand. He opened to 3,500 with the button and Binger made the call. Both players checked the flop and Binger checked again after the turned. Van Til bet 4,500, Binger check-raised to 11,500 and Van Til called.
The river was another king, the , and Binger checked to Van Til who moved all in for 18,900. Binger went into the tank for an extremely long time, adjusting and readjusting himself in his chair before finally folding. Van Til did not say a word, rather he silently stacked his chips and prepared to keep chipping away.
