Tzvi Barer Wins Small One Off Ainsworth

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jude Ainsworth was on the button and threw in a raise to 1,450. Amichai Tzvi Barer called from the small blind and the two watched the flop come down {10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Tzvi Barer was first to act and checked to Ainsworth, who bet 2,000. Tzvi Barer quickly check-raised to 5,050 and Ainsworth wasted little time in folding. Even though he lost that one, Ainsworth is still sitting strong with right around 70,000.

Seidman Doubles

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After doubling up tablemate Amichai Tzvi Barer, Andrew Seidman was left with just over 8,000 in chips and open-shoved with the button. Scott Baumstein called from the big blind and the hands were opened.

Seidman: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Baumstein: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Seidman's hand held as the board rolled out {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he doubled to just over 16,000 chips.

Tepper Hits a King-High Flush to Double

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With 10,000 in the pot and a board reading {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}, Rob Tepper moved all in for 8,875 and received a call from Chris Klodnicki.

Tepper: {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Klodnicki: {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}

Tepper was out in front but Klodnicki had a lot of outs he could hit on the turn and river. Unfortunately for him, it came {3-Diamonds} and {2-Spades}, giving Tepper a king-high flush and a double to around 28,000.

Wahlbeck Five-Bet Shoves

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Darren Elias raised to 1,500 from the cutoff only to have Team PokerStars Pro (Nordics) Ville Wahlbeck reraise to 4,200. Elias wasn't afraid of Wahlbeck's raise and made one himself, making it 11,600 to go. Wahlbeck proceeded to toss his bounty chip in the pot, a binding all in move, for a raise of 25,225 more. Elias had had enough and folded his hand. Wahlbeck is up to 47,000.

Elias Takes from Chartier

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Darren Elias raised to 1,500 from the small blind and Samuel Chartier called out of the big blind. The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Elias led for 2,050. Chartier called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Elias slowed down, checking to Chartier who bet 3,300. Elias tank-called.

Both players checked the {k-Spades} on the river and Chartier rolled over {a-}{3-} for just ace-high. Elias opened {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of eights though and raked in the pot.

Minieri and Martin Run Into Aces Before Break

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Dario Minieri will have to settle with $16,000
Dario Minieri will have to settle with $16,000

Just before the break we had two players run into aces and get eliminated.

First Dario Minieri was eliminated after he three-bet shoved for 9,000 on the button. Chris Klodnicki re-shoved for almost 25,000 from the big blind and Marko Neumann, the initial raiser, got out of the way.

Minieri: {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Klodnicki: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Minieri received a little help from the {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, but the {2-Hearts} on the turn left him with only two outs and he did not improve with the {10-Clubs} on the river.

A few hands later on an adjacent table, Ville Wahlbeck opened to 1,000 before Jesse Martin three-bet jammed for 10,900. Action folded to Darren Elias in the big blind who tank-called and Wahlbeck showed {2-}{2-} before folding.

Martin: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Elias: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Again, the flop was kind to the underdog: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}. However, like Minieri, Martin couldn't improve further when the turn ({3-Diamonds}) and river ({4-Hearts}) were both blanks.
