Filippi Doubles Through Neumann - Twice

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Amnon Filippi was all in preflop twice against Marko Neumann and won both times.

The first time Filippi held {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} against Neumann's {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and hit a six on the river. The second time Filippi was ahead with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} against Neumann's {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Neumann stole the lead when the flop fell {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. The {q-Diamonds} on the turn gave Filippi broadway though, and after the river blanked he doubled to 41,000 chips while Neumann was crippled with less than 3,000.

Wahlbeck Eliminates Elias

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

With about 10,000 in the pot and a board reading {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, Ville Wahlbeck checked and Darren Elias bet 6,200 from the button. Wahlbeck made the call and then proceeded to check the {6-Hearts} on the river. Elias moved all in for his last 13,150 and Wahlbeck quickly called and tabled {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair. Elias shook his head in disbelief, showed {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and made his exit from the tournament area.

Greenstein Nearly Triples, Busts Seidman

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Jude Ainsworth opened from the cutoff before Andrew Seidman moved all in from the small blind. Barry Greenstein re-shoved from the big blind and Ainsworth tank-called looking for two bounties. All three hands were opened:

Ainsworth: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Seidman: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Greenstein: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop missed both Greenstein and Seidman, but the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave both of them straight outs. Greenstein could survive with any queen, king or ace and Seidman needed one of the four sevens in the deck.

Greenstein was saved by the {k-Diamonds} on the river while Seidman was forced to hit the rail.

Baumstein Doubles Twice

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Amichai Tzvi Barer opened to 1,600 from the cutoff seat and the action folded to Scott Baumstein who moved all in for 11,250 from the big blind. Barer called.

Barer: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Baumstein: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board ran {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Baumstein doubled up.

A few hands later Baumstein got it all in against Jude Ainsworth with the board reading {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Baumstein held {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} against Ainsworth's {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and avoided an ace when the {2-Spades} rivered.

Yet Another Double

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Marko Neumann was under the gun and put in a raise to 2,000. Rob Tepper was next to act on the button and raised all in for 16,150 total. The blinds got out of the way and Neumann called.

Neumann: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Tepper: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

Neumann needed an ace to eliminate his opponent but could not connect as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Tepper doubled to around 35,000 while Neumann dropped to just 9,000.

Another Double

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded to Team PokerStars Pro (USA) Barry Greenstein in the small blind and he shipped his last 8,850 into the pot with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Scott Baumstein looked down at {A-Hearts}{3-Spades} in the big blind and made the call.

The {3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop gave Baumstein a pair of threes and Greenstein was still looking for a queen or jack. The {7-Diamonds} turn was no help, but when the {Q-Hearts} hit the river, Greenstein stayed alive and doubled to around 20,000.

Double

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded to William Pilossoph in the small blind and he limped to Darren Elias in the big. Elias opted to raise to 2,600 only to have Pilossop check-raise to 6,600. Elias then raised to 36,100 and Pilossoph snap-called all in for right around 30,000.

Pilossoph: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Elias: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came down {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Pilossoph requested, "No king." The dealer burned and turned the {10-Hearts}, at which point Pilossoph smiled and said, "Now you can put up a king."

Instead, the river was the {4-Diamonds} and Pilossoph doubled to a little over 60,000. Elias took a hit and dropped to 22,000.

Klodnicki With Neu Life

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Amnon Filippi opened to 2,000 from under the gun and Marko Neumann called on the button. Chris Klodnicki moved all in for 24,200 from the big blind, Filippi folded and Neumann made the call.

Neumann: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Klodnicki: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

"You watch," Filippi blurted. "It's going to come all diamonds because I folded two."

Sure enough the flop fell {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Filippi could only laugh. The diamonds hardly affected the hand however because neither player held one. The {3-Hearts} on the turn gave Klodnicki a set and ended the hand and after the {8-Hearts} rivered he was shipped the pot.

Klodnicki doubled to 50,000 chips while Neumann dropped to 36,000.
