Check-Jamming FTW

When we arrived at the table, the board was {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Will Molson checked to an opponent who bet 4,200, and Molson made the call. The river was the {k-Hearts}, and Molson checked again. His opponent fired 6,700, and Molson check-raised to 21,000, which was more than enough to put his opponent all in.

After a few minutes, Molson's opponent found a fold, and Molson won the pot.

Counts

Here are some counts from around the room.

Levy Up to 50K

From middle position, Mohsin Charania raised to 500. The player in the cutoff seat made the call before Adam Levy three-bet to 1,800 from the button. The blinds folded while Charania and the cutoff seat both called.

The flop produced the {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and action checked around. The {3-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Charania led out for 2,700. The cutoff seat called and then Levy called.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Charania bet 6,800 with just about 20,000 behind. The cutoff mucked his hand, but Levy didn't go away so easily. He took a few moments and then fired in a raise to 16,500. Charania quickly folded his hand and looked disgusted that he had to do so. Levy scooped the pot and moved to 50,000 in chips.

Charania Takes One from Jorgensen

Mohsin Charania raised to 500 and Theo Jorgensen three-bet to 1,400 from the next seat. Play folded back to Charania and he made the call to see the flop.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Charania checked. Jorgensen fired 1,700 and Charania check-raised to 3,500. Jorgensen called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and both players checked before the {6-Hearts} landed on the river. Charania bet 3,700 and Jorgensen folded.

Oliver Out

And just like that, the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event runner-up is out.

We saw Oliver collecting, his things and leaving, and rushed over to the table to learn more. According to the players at the table, Oliver and Udo Naeger were heads up with the board reading {10-}{8-}{8-}{7-}. Naeger bet 2,500, Oliver raised to 8,000, and Naeger called. The river was a {10-}, and Naegen checked to Oliver who moved all in. Naeger called, tabling {7-}{7-}, and Oliver mucked then exited the tournament area.

Spindler Back on Starting Stack

With a little over 4,000 chips in the middle on the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board, a bet of 2,500 was fired into Benny Spindler. Spindler won the 2011 EPT London Main Event, but wouldn't be winning this pot as he mucked his hand after a minute passed and dropped back to the starting stack.

Levy Can't Call River

Adam Levy got off to a good start, but he saw this pot get pushed the way of his opponent.

With the final board reading {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Levy checked with 5,000 in the pot. His opponent opted on a bet size of 4,400 and fired it out. Levy took a few moments, but tossed in his hand and dropped back to 36,700 in chips.
