Kaverman Strikes Down Kolev

Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

From the cutoff seat, Yuliyan Nikolaev Kolev raised to 32,000, and Byron Kaverman gave him action from the small blind. He three-bet to 82,000, Kolev shoved in for about 480,000 total, and Kaverman made the call with a chance at the knockout. Kolev was in trouble.

Showdown
Kolev: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}
Kaverman: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

The {5-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} flop only made matters that much worse for Kolev as he now needed to go runner-runner to double. He was drawing dead after the {8-Hearts} turn, and the river {3-Hearts} sent him on his way and sent his chips over to Kaverman.

Goldman Busts Dräxl

Peter Dräxl was all in preflop with the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Lee Goldman held the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and was the player with the most chips. The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} and Goldman won the pot to send Dräxl out the door.

Goldman now has 2.26 million in chips.

Dibella Firing at Liu

From the cutoff seat, the last woman standing, Xuan Liu, raised to 32,000. John Dibella three-bet on the button to 90,000 and the two blinds folded. Liu made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Liu check-called a bet of 100,000. The {K-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Liu checked again. Dibella bet what looked to be 140,000 and Liu gave it up.

Another Double for Greenstein

Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein had just doubled the hand before, but he wasn't about to stop there. On the very next hand, Greenstein raised all in for 158,000 after action folded to him in the small blind. Sam Greenwood called from the big blind with the {A-Spades}{3-Spades}. Greenstein was at risk with the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The flop, turn and river produced the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Greenstein's Broadway straight gave him the double. He's now back over 300,000 in chips.

Greenstein Doubles

Action folded to Corey Burbick in the small blind and he moved all in. Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein called all in from the big blind for 73,000 holding the {J-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Burbick held the {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Greenstein doubled back.

Four-Bet Power from Gregg

From under the gun, Kyle Julius raised to 33,000. Corey Burbick three-bet from the hijack seat to 83,000 and Anthony Gregg four-bet to 144,000 from the small blind. Julius and Burbick both folded their hands and Gregg showed the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Julius Misses a Big One

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Barry Greenstein was under the gun with just 79,000 chips, and he went ahead and stuck those last couple big blinds in there first to act. Around in the hijack, Anthony Gregg flatted, and Kyle Julius did the same from the button. in the big blind, Corey Burbick had a squeezing hand, and he moved all in for just a bit less than 600,000. That folded Gregg out of the way, but Julius called to put a big pot up for grabs with two players at risk.

Showdown
Greenstein: {10-Clubs} {J-Clubs}
Julius: {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}
Burbick: {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

Greenstein was drawing pretty slim, but he would be satisfied with the outcome of this one. By the time the turn landed on the {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {5-Clubs} board, Greenstein had the tens and the clubs as clean outs, plus three more chop outs.

River: {6-Diamonds}

Everyone gets their money back, and Julius couldn't help looking a bit dissatisfied as he watched that huge pot chopped up into pieces.

Sanchez Sent Packing

David Peters just eliminated Jesus Sanchez at the main feature table. We have limited access so we don't have the action unfortunately, but we know Peters had aces and Sanchez has six-four off suit. Peters' aces held, and Sanchez was eliminated.

Visser Doubles Back

When the table folded around to the blinds, big stack Kyle Julius opened to 33,000 from the small, and Ruben Visser shoved all in from the big. Julius made the quick call with his {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}, and that was not what Visser wanted to see. He could only show up a dominated {Q-Spades} {J-Diamonds}, and his last 272,000 chips were in serious jeopardy.

But the Dutchman flopped lucky on the {K-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {6-Spades}, and the {9-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river made his come-from-behind double complete. He's back to 558,000 now, while Julius slips back around the million-and-a-half mark.

Jaka Wins Million-Chip Pot, Nearing 3 Million

When we reached the main feature table, the board read {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts} and there was around 300,000 in the middle. Faraz Jaka had 500,000 pushed out in front of him, and Martin Jacobson was deep in the tank. Finally, Jacobson said, "call,"

Jaka tabled {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a rivered flush, Jacobson mucked his hand, and Jaka raked in a massive pot.
