Heitmann Can't Keep His Chips

We walked up just after the opening action, but it appears Jan Heitmann was the preflop raiser before Mark Drover three-bet to 85,000. Heitmann shoved in for about 310,000 total, and Drover made the call to put him to the test. It was two fairly marginal hands going to war.

Showdown
Heitmann: {Q-Spades} {9-Spades}
Drover: {A-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

The {5-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} flop was not good for Heitmann's chances, and the turn {K-Hearts} and river {10-Clubs} ended his day with less than 40 players remaining.

Lindqvist Bounced

Preflop, Robin Lindqvist raised all in for 230,000 with the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Charles Furey made the call with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Furey's fives full of kings proved to be the winning hand and Lindqvist was eliminated.

Blondeau Rivered Out

First in from the button, Byron Kaverman opened to 32,000 — the minimum — and Rudy Blondeau three-bet shoved for his last 245,000 from the small blind. When it came back around to Kaverman, he spent a few minutes soaking in the tank before plunking a stack of blue chips across the imaginary betting line. Blondeau was at risk, but he was in a good spot to double.

Showdown
Kaverman: {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades}
Blondeau: {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

The {K-Hearts} {9-Spades} {2-Clubs} flop was a decent miss for Kaverman as he picked up another four outs with the gutshot straight draw. The turn {6-Hearts} was a blank, and Blondeau was one card from the double. He just needed to fade the jacks and queens left in the deck, but that proved to be too tall a task. The {Q-Hearts} dropped on the river, and the straight locks up the knockout for Kaverman.

He's moved into the top five now with about 1.65 million chips.

Jaka Busts Sabat

Eddy Sabat was all in preflop for 224,000 with the {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Faraz Jaka was his opponent holding the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Sabat was eliminated.

Chartier Gone

Sam Chartier was all in preflop with the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} after five-bet jamming all in versus Faraz Jaka. Jaka called with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Chartier was eliminated.

Cajelais Two-Outted, Eliminated

Erik Cajelais - Eliminated.
Erik Cajelais - Eliminated.

Erik Cajelais open-jammed his last 100,000 or so from middle position, and the action folded all the way to Byron Kaverman who called in the big blind. The hands were opened, and Cajelais was in great shape to double.

Showdown
Cajelais: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Kaverman: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The dealer rapped the table then delivered a flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. Upon seeing this board, Cajelais took a mighty large bite out of the apple he held in his massive hand. The turn and river bricked {a-Hearts}, {9-Spades} respectively, and Cajelais gathered his things before leaving the room.

Who's That Lady?

Xuan Liu
Xuan Liu

Here comes the last lady standing, Xuan Liu!

In the last pot, Luis Jaikel came in with a raise to 36,000, and Liu made a three-bet to 81,000 all the way around in the big blind. When it came back to Jaikel, he shoved in for about 300,000 total, and Liu made the quick call with a chance at the knockout.

Showdown
Jaikel: {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}
Liu: {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}

Liu's cowboys roped her the pot as the board came out safely: {5-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. It's the end of the day for Jaikel, and his chips make Liu the newest member of the million-chip club.

Visser's misstep leads to a Burbick double.

Just before the break, Corey Burbick opened to 25,000 from the cutoff seat, and Ruben Visser moved all in for 363,000 on the button. The blinds released, and Burbick made the call.

Showdown
Burbick: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Visser: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
