Tex Doubles

Ruben Visser opened to 20,000 in late position, and Spencer "Tex" Hudson moved all in for 188,000 from the blinds. Visser called, and the hands were turned face up.

Showdown
Hudson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Visser: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Hudson stood from his chair, pacing as the camera crew rushed to the table. Once they arrived, the dealer was given the 'OK,' and the board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Hudson doubled to 380,000 chips, while Visser slipped to 485,000.

No Love in This Club Tonight

Ami "DJ Ami" Alibay was all in preflop for his last 88,000 and up against Andrew Badecker's {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. Alibay held the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. After the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, Alibay was sent off to the payout desk to collect his earnings.

Klodnicki Eliminated

Chris Klodnicki - out
Chris Klodnicki - out

From under the gun, Corey Burbick raised to 20,000. Action then folded a few spots over to Sam Greenwood in middle position and he three-bet to 55,000. On the button was Chris Klodnicki and he moved all in for 137,000. The blinds and Burbick all folded back to Greenwood. That's when he made the quick call to put Klodnicki's tournament life at stake. Klodnicki turned over the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} and was flipping with the best of it against Greenwood's {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades} and put Greenwood in front with a pair of kings. The {6-Clubs} was added to the board on the turn, leaving Klodnicki needing just a ten on the river to stay alive. He wouldn't find it when the {4-Hearts} peeled off and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Greenwood collected the pile of chips and stacked up to 1.55 million.

Casals is a Causality

[Removed:273] entered the day with only 100,000 chips, and fell to as little as 16,000 before open-shoving from the cutoff. Robin Lindqvist called on the button, and the blinds released.

Showdown
Casals: {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Lindqvist: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}

The board ran {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and Casals was eliminated from the tournament.

Out of the Basement, Then Back In

Alax Casals came into the day with the short stack of 100,000, and he managed to double that up once before this coin flip unfolded. Roberto Rivera was the preflop raiser, and Warren Strong flatted the 25,000 in position. From the small blind, [Removed:273] moved all in for 223,000, and Strong quickly folded. Rivera made the call, though, and it was he and his 205,000 chips that were at risk.

Showdown
Rivera: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}
Casals: {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

The flop was a lovely {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} to essentially change nothing, though it did add one extra out to Rivera's chances. The {A-Spades} turn was his money card, and the big full house left Casals drawing dead. Just for the rub, the {8-Hearts} came on fifth street, but it was too little, too late for Casals.

After that big pot, Casals has been reduced back to just 18,000 — once again the shortest stack in the room.

Vivancos Vanquished

Under the gun, Kyle Julius came in with a raise to 21,000, and Rodrigo Abellán Vivancos moved his short stack all in right next door. The table folded back to Julius, and he made the call with {A-Spades} {J-Spades}. Vivancos rolled over his superior {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}, and he was three cards from a double.

But the dealer had other ideas. The {A-Hearts} dropped right in the window, and the {2-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {A-Hearts} was a disaster of a flop. Rodrigo was dead to the case jack, and the turn {5-Spades} and river {2-Spades} marked the end of his run in this PCA Main Event.

Julius has moved up even further, and he's got about 1.3 million chips after that KO.

Hall Out First

Well, we've lost the defending champ.

In middle position, Martin Jacobson opened to 20,000, and Galen Hall peeked down at {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} in the hole. He only had 177,000 chips left, and he went ahead and stuck them all in there. Jacobson spent some time thinking which had to ease Hall's mind a bit, but the call eventually came, and Jacobson was flipping for the knockout with {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}.

And the knockout he would get. The board rolled out {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {J-Spades}, and that's the end of the road for Galen Hall. He certainly knows his way around this building by now, but this time around, he'll have to settle for a consolation prize of $32,500.

"Nuts"

Marc Tschirch and Cristian Folescu were heads up with the board reading {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Folescu checked, and Tschirch fired 45,000. Folescu tank-called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, and Folescu checked agin. Tschirch reached for a tower of blue T5,000 chips, added two more chips on top, and slid it forward. The bet was 110,000, and after tanking for quite some time, Folescu called.

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board, and Folescu led for the first time, betting 85,000. Tschirch tanked for over five minutes before slamming his cards in the muck, and Folescu turned {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} over saying, "Nuts."
