Semisoshenko Doubles

Phil D'Auteuil opened to 24,000 on the button, and Maksim Semisoshenko moved all in for 289,000 from the big blind. D'Auteuil called, and had Semisoshenko crushed.

Showdown
Semisoshenko: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
D'Auteuil: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

D'Auteuil remained in the lead when the flop fell {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and the {j-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing because Semisoshenko held the {10-Diamonds}. The river was the other red ten - the {10-Hearts} - and Semisoshenko doubled to 602,000.

D'Auteuil is still healthy - he has over 1.6 million chips.

Badecker Bounced Out

Under the gun, Andrew Badecker opened with a raise to 25,000, and Kyle Julius three-bet from the small blind. It was 71,000 total, but Badecker answered back with a reraise all in for about 360,000. Julius considered for only a quick minute before making the call, and he had an overpair and the covering stack.

Showdown
Julius: {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}
Badecker: {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}

There was no funny stuff on the {J-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {5-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs} flop, and Badecker has been eliminated.

Gregg Takes the Lead

Anthony Gregg has just taken the chip lead after busting Max Leonhard and moving up to 1.84 million in chips.

From under the gun, Leonhard opened to 26,000. Gregg made it 64,000 to go from the small blind and Leonhard called to see the {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. Here, Gregg checked and Leonhard bet 100,000. Gregg made the call.

The turn card was the {10-Clubs} and Gregg checked again. Leonhard fired another bet and made it 200,000 to go. Gregg check-raised all in and Leonhard called off his last 85,000 or so.

Gregg tabled the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for top pair, top kicker. Leonhard held the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for top pair, second best kicker. Leonhard was at risk and in need of a queen on the river.

The {J-Clubs} was not what Leonhard was looking for and he was eliminated by Gregg.

Gregg and the PCA have a little history. Back in 2009, Gregg made a very, very, very deep run in the PCA Main Event before eventually coming up just short of a win. He placed second to Poorya Nazari and earned himself $1.7 million.

Igin Gone

David Granados opened to 28,000 in late position, and Viacheslav Igin three-bet shoved for 234,000 from the big blind. Granados paused for a moment, then called.

Showdown
Granados: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Igin: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was very interesting - it gave Igin a pair of kings, but Granados was still draw very live with a club in his hand. The {j-Clubs} spiked on the turn, and Granados jumped up from his chair, screaming, "Yes!!!"

Igin was drawing dead, and after the {7-Diamonds} completed the board, he gathered his things and hit the rail.

Garcia Misses the Cut

From under the gun, Spanish professional golfer Sergio Garcia raised to 25,000. William Luciano was in the cutoff seat and reraised all in. Play got back to Garcia and he called all in for 232,000 total. Here's what we saw.

Garcia: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Luciano: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The flop paired Garcia when the {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} fell, but it wasn't the pair he was hoping for in order to allow him to take the lead against Luciano. Still, Garcia did add a club flush to really pick up some outs in the hand.

The turn was black, but it was a spade with the {9-Spades}. Garcia was now looking for a club, an ace or a jack to win the pot and stay alive.

The river completed the board with the {K-Diamonds} and Garcia had whiffed. He was eliminated on the hand while Luciano stacked up to around 700,000 in chips.

Joe Giron was ready with his camera, and he snapped this series of shots as Garcia played his final hand.
