Vanessa Rousso
Vanessa Rousso

Vanessa Rousso and an opponent were heads up on a board of {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. The player checked, Rousso tossed out 1,500, and the player check-raised to 3,000. Rousso called.

The river was the {j-Clubs}, the player tossed out a single blue T5,000 chip, and Rousso called.

Her opponent tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for an ace-high flush, and Rousso mucked.

"I had the third-nut flush," she announced.

Michael Phelps opened to 800 from under the gun plus one and received a call from one opponent. The flop came {J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Phelps continued for 1,200. His opponent wasted little time raising to 3,100 and Phelps dropped in a call.

Fourth street brought the {7-Hearts} to the board and Phelps checked to the raiser. He continued out with 3,750 and Phelps tanked for about forty-five seconds before finally opting to release. With this hit he's sitting on about 59,000.
