Mortensen vs. Marchese

Tom Marchese opened for 900 from the hijack and Carlos Mortensen, who you may recall as the 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event champ, defended from the big blind. The Spaniard then check-called a bet of 1,200 on the {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and the dealer burned and turned the {6-Clubs}. Again Marchese bet, this time 3,500, and again Mortensen called.

When the {8-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Mortensen tabled the {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Marchese then flashed an ace and mucked.

Harder Three-Bet Jams on River

Christian Harder and Lawrence Greenberg were heads up on a board of {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. They both checked.

The river was the {9-Clubs}, Harder led out for 4,500, and Greenberg raised to 11,000. Harder leaned forward, examining Greenberg's stack, then moved all in for effectively 38,000.

Greenberg unhappily folded.

Kenney Takes from Raghavan

Bryn Kenney checked to Ravi Raghavan on a board of {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Raghavan fired 3,000, and Kenney check-raised to 7,400. Raghavan called.

The {10-Clubs} completed the board, and Kenney reached for a handful of chips, sloppily tossing out 25,600. Raghavan smiled, then folded, showing the {8-Hearts}.
