The first two levels of the day are in the books, and the field is on a 15-minute break.

Elias Folds Pocket Kings Preflop

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

From under the gun, Jean-Pascal Savard raised to 5,600. Play folded to Jeff Gross in the cutoff seat, and he reraised to 16,400. On the button was Darren Elias, and he put in another reraise, making it 34,500 to go. The two players in the blinds folded, Savard gave it up, and then action fell back on Gross.

Gross took a little bit of time, then five-bet to 64,000. Elias, who had 87,500 behind, tanked long and hard. The last few minutes of the level ticked away, and Elias even thought a bit into the break, repeatedly looking back at his hole cards. Eventually, Elias folded and flashed {K-}{K-} with a big exhale.

All Gross would say was, "I had an ace," when Jared Jaffee asked him, who was at the table and watching the hand play out.
