High Rollers Are Not For the Faint of Heart

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer just doubled up on the bubble, and he theatrically reached for his heart after winning a massive coin flip.

O'Dwyer moved all in from the cutoff for 437,000 chips and Bryn Kenney moved all in over the top right away from the small blind.

O'Dwyer: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Kenney: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and O'Dwyer raked in a massive double up, as we're still one away from the money.

"How was that runout," Scott Seiver asked," Was it fast enough?"

O'Dwyer, seemingly dazed, said, "I guess it was alright."

Seiver started laughing and said, "He's not even on this planet right now," after going through the big rush of this big hand.

"I think Steve almost had a heart attack," Seiver continued, "He might need a doctor."

"This Steve seems a lot more calm right now," Isaac Haxton joked about the O'Dwyer figurine he has sitting next to his chips.

"Yeah," Nick Petrangelo chimed in, "At least that Steve's acting as if he's been here before," and the entire table burst out in laughter.

O'Dwyer's now in a great chip position while Kenney was knocked way down, as hand for hand play continues.

Kenny "kenny05" Smaron Falls Two Shy of the Money

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Kenneth Smaron
Kenneth Smaron

Kenny "kenny05" Smaron, who won the European Poker Tour Prague €10,300 High Roller last month for €595,500, was just eliminated in 13th place at the hands of Ivan Luca.

It happened when Luca, who has been opening most hands, raised to 48,000 from early position. Smaron responded by moving all in for 162,000 from the button, the blinds both folded, and Luca took his time before making the call.

Luca: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Smaron: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Smaron was well out in front, but the {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop made things interesting by giving Luca a flush draw, which he hit on the {A-Clubs} turn. However, Smaron was not drawing dead as either a ten or ace would give him a flush draw. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't in the cards as the {J-Clubs} blanked on the river.

Here Comes the $100K Super High Roller Champ

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

With around 150,000 in the pot and a flop of {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Scott Seiver checked from the small blind and Bryn Kenney bet 84,000 from the big. Seiver thought for a bit before moving all in, and Kenney snap-called off for 458,000 total.

Kenney: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Seiver: {10-}{4-}

Seiver had flopped two pair, but he was well behind the aces and sixes of Kenney. The {6-Clubs} turn improved both to full houses, but Kenney shipped the double when the {7-Clubs} bricked on the river.

Kenney is less than 24 hours removed from winning the $100K Super High Roller for $1,687,800 and is primed to cash in yet another high roller event.

O'Dwyer Doubles Through Petrangelo

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised before the flop to 60,000 and Steve O'Dwyer moved all in from the big blind for 241,000. Petrangelo called right away, and O'Dwyer didn't look happy when the cards were turned face up.

Petrangelo: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
O'Dwyer: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The dealer quickly put {4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} out on the table, and O'Dwyer complimented the dealer with the fast runout.

"I was sweating that very much, thanks for doing it quickly," O'Dwyer said, as he's a big proponent of the "rip the bandaid" type dealers when it comes to all-in showdowns.

Luca Gets Value From Adams

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On a board reading {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} it was Ivan Luca who lead out for 213,000 from the small blind and Timothy Adams tanked for a while before making the call.

Luca showed {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Adams quietly mucked, dropping down to 450,000 chips.

Seidel Finishes Off Busquet

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Olivier Busquet
Olivier Busquet

After Olivier Busquet lost a big pot to Scott Seiver, he was left with just over 100,000.

He managed to get that in after action folded to him in the small blind, and Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel, who was in the big, opted to look him up.

Busquet: {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Seidel: {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop paired both player, but Seidel's kings kept him out in front. The {A-Diamonds} turn was no help to Busquet, and neither was the {J-Diamonds} river. With that, Busquet took his leave in 14th place.

Luca Knocks Out Kurganov

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Igor Kurganov just ended up all in for his last 270,000 chips and he was up against Ivan Luca's monster stack.

Luca: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Kurganov: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Kurganov hit the rail in 15th place, bringing us three spots away from the money.
