Another Healthy Pot for Badziakouski

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski had already taken down a decent pot against David Peters and proceeded to do so when facing Seth Davies. On the tail end of a hand with the completed board showing {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Badziakouski in the big blind bet 20,000 and Davies on the button called reluctantly.

Badziakouski announced ace-seven, half as a statement and half as a question, and flipped over {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Davies mucked and the pot was shipped to Badziakouski.

Lehne First to Bust

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Kathy Lehne
Kathy Lehne

Having just lost a small pot to the flush with a jack by Koray Aldemir, Kathy Lehne had dropped to around 220,000 and started the next hand with a button raise to 6,000. Steve O'Dwyer in the small blind three-bet to 24,000 and Lehne clicked it back up to 61,000, which O'Dwyer called with a second to spare on his shot clock.

On the {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop, O'Dwyer checked his option and called a bet of 50,000 by Lehne. The {7-Clubs} turn brought another check by O'Dwyer and Lehne moved all in, a snap-call by O'Dwyer followed.

Kathy Lehne: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Steve O'Dwyer: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Lehne needed an ace to avoid elimination on her first entry, but the river was the blank {Q-Hearts}.

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Eibinger Wins Four-Bet Pot

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A raise to 2,500 by Adrian Mateos was called by Matthias Eibinger in the small blind and Henrik Hecklen then three-bet to 16,000 in the big blind. Mateos called and Eibinger used one time bank before announcing a reraise to 45,000. Hecklen was interested and called, while Mateos quickly released his cards.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Eibinger cut out a continuation bet of 43,000, which did the trick to force a fold from Hecklen.

Thorel Off to a Great Start

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rough start for Dominik Nitsche
Rough start for Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche has experienced an even rougher start than David Peters and was left with just a fraction of the 250,000 starting stack after a big clash with Jean-Noel Thorel.

It was Thorel that opened to 2,500 and Nitsche in the cutoff that three-bet to 10,000. Thorel called and check-called a bet of 15,000 on the {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, followed by another barrel worth 40,000 on the {3-Spades} turn.

On the {10-Diamonds} river, Thorel bet 75,000 and Nitsche tossed in calling chips without using a time bank. Thorel turned over {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for just a pair of nines, yet it was good enough to win the pot as Nitsche mucked his cards.

Cortes Takes on Dvoress; Kempe and Kurganov Join

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

David Peters lost another bigger pot against the nutflush of Mikita Badziakouski to drop down further while Jesus Cortes recovered earlier losses in a bigger pot against Daniel Dvoress.

Cortes in the small blind bet the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, followed by the {9-Hearts} turn for 27,500, which Dvoress called. After the {J-Diamonds} river, Cortes tossed in three yellow T-25,000 chips and Dvoress needed two time banks before opting to fold.

Rainer Kempe, winner of yesterday's $50,000 Single-Day High Roller, as well as Igor Kurganov have joined the competition.

Pots for Hecklen and Jensen

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kathy Lehne and Gregory Jensen were involved in a hand to the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop and it was Lehne that bet 6,000 only for Jensen to raise it up to 25,000. That's all it took for Jensen, as Lehne gave it some thought before sending her cards into the muck.

One table over, a four-way pot emerged and Henrik Hecklen bet the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} turn for 3,000. Steffen Sontheimer raised to 8,000 and Hecklen called. The {A-Spades} on the river was checked and Hecklen showed {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for two pair to win the pot.

Cada Forces Out Cortes

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a battle small blind versus button, Joe Cada three-bet against Jesus Cortes and the Spaniard called to see a flop of {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Cada bet 8,000 into a pot of 22,000 and Cortes called. There was no betting action on the {9-Clubs} turn and Cada then bet the {9-Hearts} river for 22,000.

Cortes was not willing to invest any further chips and Cada claimed the pot without showdown.
