Aldemir Ousted Once More

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Koray Aldemir was involved in a big pot with Christopher Kruk and the duo had some 180,000 in the middle with the completed board showing {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Kruk bet 60,000 and Aldemir on the button raised to all but 500 chips behind, making it 156,000 to go.

Kruk gave it some thought and called to get shown {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, which he had beat with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Aldemir folded the next two hands and then called all in when Adrian Mateos opened to 11,000 first to act. Alex Foxen called in the big blind and check-folded the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop to a bet of Mateos.

Koray Aldemir: {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The {6-Diamonds} turn gave Aldemir some outs for a miracle, but the {J-Diamonds} river was a blank.

Seth Davies bet 11,000 from the small blind and Mustapha Kanit raised to 48,000. Davies responded with a three-bet to 105,000 but Kanit decided to shove, putting Davies at risk. Davies took a beat before opting to fold.

Byron Kaverman was also seated at this table but Justin Bonomo was just moved there as Kaverman had just been eliminated.

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

At the end of the previous level, Byron Kaverman made it 9,000 to go first to act and Isaac Haxton called on the button. The flop fell {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Kaverman checked, Haxton bet 16,000 and Kaverman called. After the {8-Diamonds} turn, Kaverman check-called another 50,000 and checked the {5-Clubs} river.

Kaverman then faced a bet of 145,000 by Haxton and called for a big portion of his stack. Haxton rolled over {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the straight and won the pot.

Moments into the new level, Kaverman doubled his short stack out of the big blind with {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} against the {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} of Steffen Sontheimer on the button. Sontheimer flopped top pair, but Kaverman rivered a flush on {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Down to a mere 12,500, three big blinds and change, Christoph Vogelsang moved all in from the button and was called by Daniel Dvoress in the big blind.

Christoph Vogelsang: {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Daniel Dvoress: {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop improved Dvoress to a pair of tens and the {8-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river run out failed to keep Vogelsang in contention on his first bullet.

Moments later, Sean Winter disappeared from one table over and Talal Shakerchi claimed his chips.

Haxton Halted by Kanit

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The flop read {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} with around 155,000 in the middle already.

Isaac Haxton checked from the hijack and Mustapha Kanit bet 33,000 from the cutoff. Haxton shoved for around 130,000 and Kanit called.

Isaac Haxton: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Mustapha Kanit: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Haxton was sitting on a pair of tens while Kanit had sevens and a flush draw.

The river completed the board with the {5-Hearts} to give Kanit the flush indeed to eliminate Haxton and send him to the cashier for a reentry.

Badziakouski Busted by Kurganov

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski, Dominik Nitsche and Igor Kurganov
Mikita Badziakouski, Dominik Nitsche and Igor Kurganov

Daniel Dvoress raised to 10,000 from the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 32,000 on the button. Igor Kurganov responded with a four-bet to 80,000 in the small blind. Dan Shak folded his big blind and Dvoress also got out of their way. Badziakouski called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, Kurganov bet 25,000 which Badziakouski called.

The turn brought them the {j-Clubs}, Kurganov shoved which seemed to pain Badziakouski.

"Such a terrible card!" Badziakouski commented while visibly uncomfortable. Badziakouski grumbled a bit longer while considering his options.

"I thought about not saying anything, but you deserve a reaction," Kurganov said with a smile.

"From all the people I like, I really like to see Mikita suffering," Dvoress laughed and the whole table seemed to enjoy the situation.

"Argh!" Badziakouski sighed and then reluctantly called for the 82,000 he had behind.

Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Igor Kurganov: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

They had both flopped a pair of aces but Kurganov was ahead with the king-kicker in his hand.

The river completed the board with the {j-Hearts}.

"Chop?" Badziakouski asked the dealer who denied the request. "okay, no chop. Maybe just 10% for me then?" Badziakouski tried again to the laughter of the table while he made his way out of the tournament area for now.
