Mateos Leaves Peters Very Short

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Without showdown, Henrik Hecklen has boosted his stack above a million and he was also involved in a three-way pot with Adrian Mateos and David Peters, albeit with a minor role in it.

Mateos opened to 9,000 and Peters called in the small blind, Hecklen came along from the big blind. The flop brought {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades} and action checked to Mateos, who bet 9,000. Peters check-raised to 26,000 and that forced out Hecklen, but Mateos had other plans and reraised to 50,000. Peters called and the {7-Spades} on the turn was checked.

The {K-Spades} river completed the board and Peters checked, Mateos then moved all in for 82,500 to receive a call from Peters.

Mateos turned over the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for a full house and Peters flashed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for trips queens, falling down to a mere four big blinds.

Cortes Triples Up

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jesús Cortes
Jesús Cortes

Patrik Antonius (mid-position), Nick Petrangelo (hijack), and Jesus Cortes (cutoff) all had their hole cards exposed in front of them with Cortes covered by both of his opponents.

Jesus Cortes: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Patrik Antonius: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Nick Petrangelo: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for Cortes to stay alive and triple up when he hit the jack on the river. Cortes tripled up for the 81,000 he had behind while Antonius and Petrangelo kept the remainder of their stacks to themselves.

Hecklen Approaching a Million

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu had last been spotted with a stack of 80,000 and those have since vanished. Seth Davies and Michael Soyza also ran out of chips, the former already opted to buy back in for the second bullet.

Henrik Hecklen may well be the first player above a million in chips after he just claimed a three-way pot against Alex Foxen and David Peters. The trio checked the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} turn and Peters checked the {3-Diamonds} river out of the small blind. Hecklen bet 36,000 from the big blind and Foxen folded from under the gun, as did Peters.

Shak Shoves on Badziakouski

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 9,000 from under the gun and was called by Dan Shak in the cutoff and Daniel Dvoress in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Dvoress checked, Badziakouski bet 17,000. Shak raised to 50,000 and Dvoress quickly folded.

"How many greens do you have?" Badziakouski asked Shak.

"Greens? None?" Shak replied and laughed while the rest of the table giggled too.

Badziakouski laughed too, "I meant yellows".

"Four" Shak replied.

Badziakouski called.

The turn brought them the {5-Clubs}, Badziakouski checked and Shak shoved. Badziakouski asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Shak had 166,000 behind. Badziakouski considered it for a few seconds before opting to fold.
