Marquez Breathes a Sigh of Relief

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a three-bet pot, Ana Marquez was heads-up with the player sitting to her left. The flop read {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Marquez check-called a bet of 10,000 from her opponent.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and Marquez checked again. Her opponent fired another 21,500 and Marquez stuck around to see the {9-Diamonds} on the river. With four diamonds on the board, both players quickly tapped the table. Marquez tabled {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a set of sixes and was relieved to see that her opponent didn't have a diamond.

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With about 45,000 in the pot and the board reading {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, big blind Josh Reichard dropped in enough chips to put Connor Drinan, in the cutoff, all in. Drinan called for his 53,000 and tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for the nuts, with Reichard flashing {8-}{6-}.

Double Knockout for Simmons

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The dealer announced two seat open and Bob Bounahra, as well as Russell Thomas, were spotted on the way out of the tournament area. Sam Simmons was raking in the pot and provided the details as to what happened.

According to Simmons, Bounahra had shoved for 24,000 with {A-}{8-} and Thomas jammed over the top for 80,000 with pocket sevens. Simmons looked both up with pocket jacks and held the best hand after spiking a set of jacks on the river.

Pantling Eliminated by Nicolato

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The flop read {2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades} with Andrew Pantling in the big blind all-in for 35,000 and called by James Chen in the cutoff, Timur Toktabayev on the button, and Victor Nicolato in the small blind.

Nicolato decided to also shove, Chen quickly folded but Toktabayev asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Nicolato held 46,000 behind. Toktabayev considered it for a bit but then opted to fold.

Andrew Pantling: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Victor Nicolato: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

Pantling had flopped a flush draw but Nicolato had a pair of jacks. The rest of the board was completed with the {5-Spades} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river to eliminate Pantling from the tournament.

Tang Busts to Tatu

Vlad Tatu

The flop showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Wei Tang bet 6,000 only for Vlad Tatu to move all in from the button. Tang had some 70,000 in total behind and tried to involve his opponent in table chat.

"Do you have king queen?" Tang asked and received no reply. What followed was the call of Tang and he tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. Platinum Pass winner Tatu held {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for top pair and the flush draw, and he immediately spiked the {3-Diamonds} turn.

Tang needed another diamond to avoid elimination but found no help on the blank {6-Spades} river.

Ingram and Guerrero Swap Jackets

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Joey Ingram was recently moved to Jimmy Guerrero's table, just a couple of seats to his left. Since then, Ingram has lost over half of his stack and Guerrero hasn't had much luck either.

As the table continued to play out a hand, Ingram and Guerrero got to talking about changing their luck. They decided to exchange jackets for an orbit and see how that works out.

"I need a picture of this. I would never wear this any other time," Ingram stated.

"I like you better without the jacket. Show off the guns," Mike Del Vecchio shouted from the table next door.
