Boeken Busted by Martini

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Noah Boeken was seen getting up from his seat and had {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} in front of him. His stack was pushed Julien Martini's way who held {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The board read {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} which meant that Martini had flopped two pair while Boeken had a pair of treys and the flush draw. The rest of the board didn't help Boeken as he made his way out of the tournament area while Martini shoots to the top of the chip counts for now.

Desilva Finds a Fold

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Upeshka Desilva had put in 32,500 in the small blind and was facing an all-in shove for his remaining 132,000 or so from Jacqueline Burkhart in middle position.

"Pretty strong," he said with a smile, stretching.

"All right, take it," he added moments later, flicking in {j-}{j-}.

Burkhart smiled but didn't show.

Benger Waits for the Turn

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Griffin Benger raised it up to 6,500 from middle position and was called by both of the blinds. The flop came {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and everyone opted to check as the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Both of the blinds checked again and Benger took a stab at the pot with a bet of 15,000. The small blind folded but Mario Hofler put up some resistance from the big blind. After counting out a raise, Hofler just decided to call instead.

The {q-Spades} completed the board and Hofler took his time before checking again. Benger tossed in a bet of 25,000 and Hofler went back into the tank for over two minutes, eventually deciding to lay his hand down.

No Payday for 'Papi'

Joey Ingram
Joey Ingram

Joey Ingram tried to make the most out of his surprising Platinum Pass that he received but once again, he proved that two cards just isn't his game. Ingram specializes in the game of Pot-Limit Omaha but has recently been focusing most of his attention on creating YouTube content.

Unfortunately for 'Papi', he was unable to keep his stack alive long enough to reach the money as he bowed out mid-way through Day 2.

Kornuth Kicked Out by Nevanlinna

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The board read {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} with just over 40,000 in the pot already.

Jussi Nevanlinna had a bet of 16,000 in front of him in the cutoff while Chance Kornuth was sitting in the under-the-gun position with the all-in button in front of him and his stack counted out to be 94,500. Nevanlinna was in the tank trying to figure out what to do. After quite a while, Nevanlinna grabbed one of his stacks of 5,000-value chips and put them in for the call to see the cards go on their backs.

Chance Kornuth: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Jussi Nevanlinna: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

They both had flopped a pair with Nevanlinna ahead with the higher pair. The turn gave them both the straight draw to split the pot.

The river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds} which meant that Kornuth's run in this tournament was over and he quickly left the tournament area.

Jacobson Scoops a Monster from Cody

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

After a raise to 6,000 from early position, Martin Jacobson three-bet to 19,000 on the button. Jake Cody was in the big blind and announced all-in for 155,000. The initial raiser quickly folded and Jacobson called just as quickly.

Martin Jacobson: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Jake Cody: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Jacobson held a massive preflop lead and the flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} only improved his outs. The {9-Spades} on the turn gave Cody a straight draw but the {a-Diamonds} on the river bricked off as the majority of Cody's chips were sent across the table.

Dokler Done by Sanchez

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joaquin Sanchez was among three players to call the raise by Jonathan Dokler and checked the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. Dokler continued for 4,000 and forced folds from Dan Shak and Andrea Benelli on the button. Sanchez check-raised to 12,000 and Dokler called.

On the {10-Hearts} turn, Sanchez bet enough to give Dokler the option to fold or call all in, and he opted for the latter.

Sanchez showed {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Dokler was trailing with the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. A blank {4-Diamonds} sent Dokler, who started the day as one of the big stacks, to the rail much earlier than he was hoping for.
