Veksler Puts Johnson to the Test

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Pavel Veksler raised to 7,000 from the cutoff and picked up calls from Chris Johnson on the button and the big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and the big blind checked to Veksler who continued for 11,000. Both Johnson and the big blind still called as the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

The action was back on Veksler who moved in another bet of 36,000 this time. Johnson still called and the big blind got out of the way. The river brought the {3-Diamonds} and Veksler stuck in a bet of 65,000. Johnson took his time, spending over two minutes in the tank before finally releasing his cards to the muck.

Schneiders Triples, Luo Busts

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Felix Schneiders got his last 70,000 or so in preflop with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} but was staring at the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} of Alex Rocha and the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Xixiang Luo. The nine he sought arrived as {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flopped. The {6-Diamonds} and {7-Hearts} kept him best for a triple up.

Luo was covered for the side pot and sent his remaining chips to Rocha.

Martini Takes From Schemion

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ole Schemion raised to 9,000 from under the gun and the only one to make the call was Julien Martini in mid-position.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} and Martini called the 12,000 continuation-bet of Schemion.

They both checked through the {k-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Schemion showed he held {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for the pair of kings with the ace-kicker but Martini was the one to add the pot to his already massive stack as he had {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Perrault Forces a Jacobson Fold

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With about 25,000 in the pot and the {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop coming three ways, Marc Perrault bet 11,000 from the hijack after two checks. Martin Jacobson raised to 35,000 in the small blind and Perrault continued to the {5-Hearts} turn. Jacobson checked again and this time called 55,000. On the {8-Clubs} river, Jacobson checked and Perrault shoved for about 255,000. Jacobson thought a little over a minute and released.
