Nguyen Rivers Sabat

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Eddy Sabat
Eddy Sabat

Fabiano Kovalski opened to 900 from middle position and Eddy Sabat called in the hijack. Thi Xoa Nguyen made it 4,900 out of the small blind and Kovalski folded, Sabat called. On a flop of {J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Nguyen opted to check-raise from 5,000 to 15,000 and Sabat called with another 20,400 behind.

On the {7-Spades} turn, Nguyen gave it some thought and motioned with her hand to see the stack size of Sabat, then took another 30 seconds and moved all in. Sabat called and Nguyen knew she was caught, immediately admitted: "yeah, I am bluffing."

Eddy Sabat: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Thi Xoa Nguyen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The {A-Hearts} river improved Nguyen and she apologized, then let out an "oops." For Sabat it was the first bullet in the event and he will re-enter.

"He was just bluffing, I never thought he has queens there," Nguyen said while she was busy stacking the chips.

Roy Jams Once More

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Earlier today, Jonathan Roy was spotted jamming into Chino Rheem on the river and this time he got the job done preflop. A big stack had opened to 800 and Roy three-bet to 2,800. He then faced a reraise to 9,000 and moved all in, a snap-fold followed and the pot was shipped to Roy.

Luke Marsh has also chipped up. After his deep run in the $25,000 PokerStars NL Hold'em Players Championship (22nd place, for $150,600), the Brit is off to a great start again with more than two times the starting stack.

Vieira Coolered in Battle of Joao's

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Joao Vieira (in the 100k)
Joao Vieira (in the 100k)

While the rest field of the field was on break, the Joao's Barbosa and Vieira were duking it out in a substantial pot that lasted over ten minutes into the intermission. The board had ran out {6-Clubs}{K-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Barbosa had check-called bets from Vieira on the flop and turn.

On the river, Barbosa checked, Vieira bet, and Barbaso check-raised all in. Vieira, who has a lot of history with his close friend and countryman, tanked for three minutes before calling it off with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Barbaso had a bigger house with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and scooped up the 100k pot from his buddy to send him towards the top.

Vesia Sends Bedell Packing

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Tom-Aksel Bedell had 11,100 left and committed those preflop. Mike Vesia came along with the call and all other players folded.

Tom-Aksel Bedell: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Mike Vesia: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The dealer quickly spread out {6-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} to have Bedell come up short.
