Mizrachi Jams Up Stack

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Robert Mizrachi was facing a squeeze to 3,000 and a reraise to 7,500 by Joao Valli, and he opted to jam the cutoff for just under the starting stack. The button gave it some time and folded, Valli snap-folded as well.

Further counts and bustouts can be found below.

Aido Takes One Out

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Spanish high roller Sergio Aido was involved in four-way action on a {K-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Marius Gierse bet 2,000, Aido made it 9,500 to go, an unknown gentleman called all in for 7,500 and Gierse got out of the way.

Sergio Aido: {5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {2-Clubs} turn and {4-Hearts} river kept Aido ahead and his opponent quickly left the table in search for his wife. Unfortunately, he took his media card along with him to leave him nameless in the blog.

Trofimov Jams Into Sivinov

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, [Removed:510] check-called a bet of 1,200 by Ivaylo Sivinov. The {2-Diamonds} turn was checked and Trofimov pushed the {6-Spades} on the river. Sivinov only had one third of the starting stack behind and folded. He had already busted on Day 1a and the pressure continues to pile on him.

A Chip and a Chair for Siddique

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Renato Kaneoya
Renato Kaneoya

Usman Siddique opened first to act and received one cold caller. Renato Kaneoya on the button three-bet to 2,100 and Siddique's four-bet to 6,400 was called only by Kaneoya. They headed to a {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and both players checked.

After the {7-Hearts} turn, Siddique bet 5,400 to pick up a call from Kaneoya before moving all in after the {3-Diamonds} river. Kaneoya quickly called for 12,500 and Siddique showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, but it was no good as Kaneoya had flopped a set with {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} to secure the double up.

Siddique was left with a mountain to climb and in the big blind next.

Hakim Wins "a Weird Hand"

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Joining the action in a battle of the blinds on the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} turn, Vanessa Selbst check-called a bet of 2,200 and checked again the {J-Spades} river. Jeff Hakim bet once more, making it 8,500 to go, which represented half of Selbst's remaining stack.

After some consideration, Selbst folded and Victor Choupeaux said "that was a weird hand, he had it, though."

[Removed:550] Makes Big Call Against Huber

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
[Removed:532] (at the PSPC)
[Removed:532] (at the PSPC)

The board read {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and [Removed:532] checked to Stefan Huber, who bet 6,000. [Removed:550] called the bet, leaving himself with 16,100 behind.

The river brought the {4-Diamonds} and Huber ripped it in, covering [Removed:550]. The Team PokerStars Pro thought around thirty seconds before calling it off for his tournament life.

Huber, caught bluffing, showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a mere king high. [Removed:550] tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for just ace-high and Huber gave a respectful nod.

No Tens Left for Martini

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Julien Martini (in the PSPC)
Julien Martini (in the PSPC)

Christopher Conrad raised to 500 in middle position and Tobias Peters just flat-called with the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Ji Zhang made it 2,000 on the button, Julien Martini cold-called from the blinds, and Conrad called as well.

All the action brought Peters in a perfect spot and he cut out a reraise to 9,300. Zhang went out of the way, but Martini shoved it in for 31,000 total. Conrad also folded and Peters snap-called.

Martini had {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Conrad quipped: "I folded tens," which drew chuckles from the table as both of Martini's suits were covered as well.

It was an arduous spot for the PSPC runner-up and he didn't catch the needed miracle straight to bust his first attempt.
