Urbanovich Doubles Veksler; Busts to Barer

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

In a battle of the blinds, Dzmitry Urbanovich pushed into Pavel Veksler and the latter called for 197,000.

Pavel Veksler: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Dzmitry Urbanovich: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Veksler secured the double on the turn.

In the very next hand, Urbanovich was on the button and had a big portion of his stack in already. Ami Barer bet the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and called the shove of Urbanovich, who had started the hand with just 10 big blinds.

Dzmitry Urbanovich: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Ami Barer: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Neither the {7-Hearts} turn nor the {2-Clubs} river changed the outcome of the hand and Urbanovich became the next casualty in quick succession.

The Price is Right for Vohra

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Rajesh Vohra on the button looked up the jam of short stack Mark Radoja in the big blind with {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and was trailing preflop against {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

The {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop gave Vohra a flushdraw and he spiked the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. Radoja still had outs, but the {K-Hearts} river further improved Vohra to a flush.

"Sometimes the price is right," Vohra added while he raked in the pot.

Bianchi's Monster Bluff Fails

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Chase Bianchi
Chase Bianchi

Three players saw a {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop together. Matt Berkey was first to act and checked, Chase Bianchi bet 35,000, Filipe Oliveira called on the button, and Berkey called from the blinds. The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Berkey checked. Bianchi fired a second barrel worth 80,000, Oliveira called, and Berkey called to go to the river with three players.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Berkey checked a third time. Bianchi shoved all in for 300,000 and Oliveira gave up. Berkey, however, used a time bank card, studied the board, then called off the shove.

Knowing his tournament had come to an end, Bianchi flung his {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} open on the felt and stood up from his chair. Berkey showed {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} for top two pair, while Oliveira indicated he had folded {Q-}{10-}. Just like that, Bianchi was gone in 33rd.

Simao Wins a Flip Against Clements

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Joao Simao raised to 30,000 on the button and Scott Clements in the small blind three-bet to 120,000. Simao jammed for 516,000 and Clements called.

Joao Simao: {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Scott Clements: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop gave Simao more outs, and while the {8-Hearts} turn was a blank, the {Q-Clubs} river improved the Brazilian to a straight and his rail cheered. Simao jumped back above a million and Clements was left with a mountain to climb.

Camosci Pays off Vogelsang

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Facing a bet of 135,000 by Christoph Vogelsang on the completed board of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts}, Enrico Camosci ended up using three time banks to give himself more time of consideration.

"I know I should fold, I know it, but ... " the Italian said, but didn't get any reply from Vogelsang. Ultimately, the call followed and Vogelsang showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} for a pair of aces. Camosci nodded and mucked his cards.

Altman Soars After Double Overbet

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Brian Altman
Brian Altman

Brian Altman opened to 25,000 from under the gun and Franz Ditz defended his big blind. The flop was {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Ditz check-called 20,000 from Altman.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and Ditz checked. This time, Altman opted for an overbet of 150,000 and Ditz called.

Ditz checked a third time on the {10-Hearts} river. Altman went big again, settling on a sizable overbet of 600,000 this time. Ditz went deep in the tank, burned through four of his extensions, then called it off for the vast majority of his remaining stack.

Altman turned over {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for trip deuces, Ditz mucked his hand and was left with thirteen big blinds.

A Double and More for Berkey

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} turn, Matt Berkey ended up all in and at risk for 315,00 and had called the jam by Chase Bianchi on the button.

Matt Berkey: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Chase Bianchi: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Berkey faded the {2-Clubs} river and claimed the pot. He won the next hand also when raising to 28,000 and picking up calls by Bianchi and Vicent Bosca in the big blind. The {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop was checked to Berkey, he bet 30,000 and that ended the hand right there.

Bosca Strikes Back, Moves Over Two Million

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Vicent Bosca
Vicent Bosca

Chase Bianchi took a lot of chips from the Spanish trio at his table earlier on, but this time Vicent Bosca struck back. Picking up action on the turn with {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} spread out, it was Bosca who bet 120,000 from the big blind. Bianchi raised to 325,000 in the cutoff and Bosca called.

On the {K-Clubs} river, both players tapped the table. Bosca showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Bianchi mucked. With the pot, Bosca is the first player to cross the 2M mark.
