Chamas Among the Shorter Stacks

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Rayan Chamas was moved tables and only had a fraction of the starting stack left when he arrived. Out of the big blind, he faced a button raise to 600 by Phillip Nagy and called, then joked "I need some chips" to which Nagy replied "let's see if I can help you out with that".

The {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop was checked by Chamas, who then called a bet of 700. Chamas checked again the {2-Diamonds} turn and folded when Nagy bet 2,000. The Canadian, known under the moniker of "Beriuzy" has dropped below 5,000 and will have to make a move very soon or subsequently re-enter.

No Call for Lafleur

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Heads-up to the {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, Sammy Lafleur checked and subsequently check-raised to 1,700 when Brian Kim bet 500. The call by Kim led to the {7-Hearts} turn on which Lafleur bet 1,700 once more and received a call.

On the {10-Clubs} river, Lafleur bet 9,200 with one T-500 chip behind. Kim tanked for nearly three minutes and then folded with the superior stack.

Gathy Triples Up; Sammartino Eliminated

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Giuseppe Dario Sammartino
Giuseppe Dario Sammartino

Vladas Tamasauskas raised to 700 from under the gun and was called by Dario Sammartino in the hijack and Nick Marchington on the button before Michael Gathy moved all in for 14,300 from the big blind.

Tamasauskas raised over the top to around 40,000 in which Sammartino called off for his tournament life and Marchington folded.

Michael Gathy: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Dario Sammartino: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Vladas Tamasauskas: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Both Tamasauskas and Sammartino had monsters and Gathy was drawing thin but the flop came {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} to put Gathy in front. The turn came the {5-Spades} and the river the {4-Spades} which secured the triple up for Gathy and the elimination of Sammartino.

It is Not Over for Stamm Just Yet

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With 6,500 in the middle to the {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} river, Diego Ventura bet 4,800. David Stamm then moved all-in for what appeared to be around 11,000. That sent Ventura into the tank for more than three minutes during which he repeatedly shook his head before sending the cards into the muck.

"Is it over?!" Stamm said with a smile on the face as he then raked in the pot.
