In a battle of the blinds, Sylvain Loosli was all-in for 299,000 and barely covered by Tinay Aksoy in the big blind.

Sylvain Loosli: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop left Loosli on the ropes but he somehow found a miracle escape with the {9-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} river.

Martirosian Applies Pressure to Leave Siena Short

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Alessandro Siena raised and earned a call by Artur Martirosian. On a flop of {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Martirosian check-raised from 15,000 to 55,000 and Siena stuck around. The {2-Clubs} turn saw Martirosian with another bet worth 50,000 and that resulted in a call from Siena.

After the {10-Clubs} river, Martirosian almost exhausted his regular 30-second shot clock before he bet 125,000. Siena gave it brief consideration and folded to become one of the shortest stacks in the remaining field.

Guilbert Nearly Runs Out of Time; Loses Plenty of Chips

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

The action started with a button raise by Johan Guilbert and he was called by Andre Marques in the small blind. Both players checked the {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and the {7-Diamonds} followed on the turn. Marques now bet 15,000 only for Guilbert to raise it up to 65,000, which was called by Marques.

On the {q-Hearts} river, Marques checked and Guilbert made it 130,000 to go for essentially one third of his stack. Marques used two time banks while staring at his opponent as Guilbert stared away on a spot in the middle of the table. The shove by Marques followed and Guilbert instantly glanced at the feet of his opponent, a tell he has been picking up in the last two years.

With five time banks at his disposal, Guilbert used four of them before he sent the cards into the muck.
