Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Giuseppe Iadisernia
Giuseppe Iadisernia

Jonathan Little opened to 60,000 from under the gun and was called by Giuseppe Iadisernia. On the {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Little continued for 75,000 and Iadisernia quickly raised to 250,000.

Little responded by making it 600,000 and then he called after his opponent shoved for 820,000.

Giuseppe Iadisernia: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Jonathan Little: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {7-Clubs} turn was a brutal card for Iadirsernia as Little had the best hand with a set. The {q-Diamonds} completed the board and Iadisernia was eliminated.

Flushes Everywhere!

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sergi Reixach opened to 60,000 with {6-Clubs}{x-} and was called by Mitchell Halverson and Alexandros Kolonias from the blinds with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} respectively.

The {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop checked through to the {10-Clubs} turn which gave everyone a flush and again action checked through.

On the {9-Spades} river, Halverson checked and Kolonias bet 60,000. Reixach called and Halverson folded.

Kolonias took the pot down as the hidden card from Reixach was not a bigger club.

Paur Wins Showdown Pot Against Matakis

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The action has slowed down on the secondary feature table and Ian Matakis won a small battle of the blinds against Michel Dattani when he min-bet the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Spades} flop and then bet again the {5-Clubs} turn, the latter of which triggered a fold from Dattani.

Taylor Paur then raised to 60,000 and folded when Allan Mello jammed for 500,000.

Pedro Neves raised to 60,000 from under the gun and let go when Clint Tolbert three-bet to 200,000 in the small blind.

Last but not least, Paur defended the small blind against Matakis and check-called one bet prior to the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades} river. Paur checked and Matakis used one time bank extension before betting 210,000. Paur, likewise, invested one time bank and called to win the pot with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, as Matakis only held {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Kolonias Doubles Through Wakil

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alexandros Kolonias
Alexandros Kolonias

Jamil Wakil opened to 65,000 from early position before Alexandros Kolonias made it 180,000 from the hijack. Wakil then jammed as the big stack and Kolonias quickly called off his 860,000 stack.

Alexandros Kolonias: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Jamil Wakil: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Both players paired up on the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop but Kolonias was still ahead thanks to his superior kicker. The {4-Diamonds} brought in a wheel draw for Wakil but the {q-Diamonds} river confirmed the hand for Kolonias.

Neves and Raymond Bet to Win

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Alexandre Raymond raised to 65,000 from under the gun before Ian Matakis called from middle position and Pedro Neves came along from the big blind. The flop was {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and both Neves and Raymond checked before Matakis fired 60,000. Neves check-raised to 190,000 and Raymond got out of the way while Matakis called. The turn was {q-Spades} and Neves fired 225,000 and Matakis folded to give him to the pot.

On the next hand, Taylor Paur raised to 60,000 from the button and Alexandre Raymond called from the big blind. The flop was {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was {5-Spades} and Raymond bet 90,000. Paur called and the river was {8-Hearts}. Raymond fired 225,000 on the river and it was too much for Paur so he tossed his hand in the muck and surrendered the pot.

Top 5 Poker Movies You Must Watch

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Over the past century, poker has permeated pop culture, especially when it comes to motion pictures. Long before the “Poker Boom”, and even before the World Series of Poker (WSOP) was a thing, poker had already made its big screen debut.

Over the decades, poker fans have been treated to a plethora of poker movies, some good and others not so much. Some well-received poker films include the western comedy Maverick (1994), Survivor host Jeff Probst’s debut film Finder’s Fee (2001), the improv-inspired The Grand (2007), indie comedy darling Hitting the Nuts (2010), and the high-profile Hollywood flick Molly’s Game (2017).

All of those are among the best poker movies of all time, and if this article was “Top 10” instead of “Top 5 Poker Movies,” chances are they’d make the final list. However, the PokerNews crew got together, along with input from social media, to determine the top five must-watch poker movies of all time.

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Giuseppe Iadisernia limped in from early position with {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Jonathan Little called with {6-Spades}{2-Spades} from the small blind and Sergi Reixach, with {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, checked his option.

Little made a straight on the {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and check-raised to 200,000 after Iadisernia bet 85,000. Reixach folded and Iadisernia did the same.

Mauricio Ferreira Pais Eliminated in 16th Place ($68,000)

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Mauricio Ferreira Pais
Mauricio Ferreira Pais

Mauricio Ferreira Pais once more raised for most of his short stack and made it 300,000 to go in the cutoff with 70,000 behind, a mere two big blinds and change. Michel Dattani waved from the small blind to see his chips behind and then flat-called.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Dattani checked, Ferreira Pais checked it back. After the {q-Clubs} turn, Dattani let his shot clock run down to two seconds before he bet 70,000. Ferreira Pais immediately sighed visibly, then grinned, smiled, and tossed in a time bank extension as he went through the motions.

Another three time banks would be used thereafter by the German and he even engaged in table chat, insinuating to have wished he had moved all-in preflop. Ultimately, the sigh-call followed and when the cards were turned over, Ferreira Pais already moved up from his chair and removed the microphone as he was drawing dead.

Mauricio Ferreira Pais: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Michel Dattani: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {q-Hearts} river became a formality as Ferreira Pais bowed out on a pay jump in 16th place for $68,000.

After the hand, Taylor Paur started a discussion as the 16 finalists were reminded by the tournament staff prior to the start that raising and leaving a single chip behind on pay jumps to potentially stall for time would be penalised.

"He could have folded actually," Dattani chimed in as he was about to be finished stacking the chips.

Sergi Reixach
Sergi Reixach

Sergi Reixach limped in from the small blind with {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Christoph Csik checked his option with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} from the big blind.

Reixach made trips on the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop and checked. He then called a bet of 30,000 from Csik.

The {7-Clubs} turn checked through to the {a-Spades} river to give Csik a pair of aces. Reixach bet 125,000 and was called. Csik saw the bad news that his opponent had him beat.
