Ponakovs Leaves Chidwick on Crumbs

Level 8 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised it up in the cutoff and Aleksejs Ponakovs called from the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Ponakovs checked to Chidwick who threw in a bet. Ponakovs check-raised to 22,000 and Chidwick called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Ponakovs led out with a bet of 55,000. Chidwick still called and the {a-Hearts} completed the board. Ponakovs put together a bet of 87,000 and Chidwick flicked in a chip to call. Ponakovs tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for trip queens and Chidwick mucked his hand, leaving himself with just six big blinds.

Threes Good for Smith

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a three-way pot on a flop of {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Dan Smith checked from the big blind and Aleksejs Ponakovs checked from the cutoff before David Peters bet 11,000 on the button. Smith called and Ponakovs folded.

Smith checked again on the {6-Spades} turn and Peters bet 33,000. Smith called. Smith checked a third time on the {6-Diamonds} river and Peters checked back after using through a few time banks.

"I've got a three," Smith said before tabling {7-Spades}{3-Spades}, which was good to pick up the pot.

Adams Closes Shuts Down All of the Action on the Flop

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 9,000 in middle position and was called by Timothy Adams and Sirzat Hissou in the blinds. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Vogelsang who continued with a bet of 8,000.

Adams just called and Hissou check-raised to 35,000. Vogelsang called but Adams slid out a stack of T25,000 chips, putting his two opponents to the test for their remaining chips.

Hissou gave it some thought but threw his cards away and Vogelsang did the same with a grin on his face.

Smith Gets a Fold from Chidwick

Dan Smith opened to 9,000 from the hijack and Stephen Chidwick called from the cutoff along with Aleksejs Ponakovs in the big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Spades} and Smith continued with a bet of 15,000. Chidwick called and Ponakovs stepped aside.

The turn brought the {q-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} on the river. Smith announced a bet of 61,000 and Chidwick used his entire allotted time before folding.

Davies Check-Raises Thorel

Seth Davies opened to 9,000 in middle position and Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 20,000 from the hijack. Davies called.

Davies checked on the flop of {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Thorel bet 12,000. Davies check-raised to 31,000 and the Frenchman quickly shot his cards to the middle of the table.

Martirosian Finds a River-Raise

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Artur Martirosian raised to 9,000 in the cutoff and Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 36,000 out of the small blind. Martirosian called and the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Both players checked and the {3-Spades} paired the board on the turn.

Ponakovs led out with a bet of 27,000 and Martirosian called to see the {5-Hearts} on the river. Ponakovs went with a smaller bet of 13,000 on the river and Martirosian eventually stuck in a raise, forcing Ponakovs to snap-fold.

Aido Takes from Brewer

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

New addition Sergio Aido opened to 9,000 on the button and Chris Brewer three-bet to 35,000 from the big blind. Aido flicked in a call.

Brewer bet 20,000 on the flop of {6-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Aido called. Brewer then checked on the {k-Clubs} turn and the Spaniard fired for 55,000. Brewer laid it down.

As Aido raked in the pot, Steve O'Dwyer took a seat at the table as Sam Grafton also bought in on a second bullet.
