Martirosian Sends Heath To The Exit

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

After losing most of his stack the hand before, Ben Heath moved all in for 12,000 from under the gun and Artur Martirosian bumped up the action to 32,000 in the cutoff. The rest of the table got out of the way and the cards were shown.

Ben Heath: {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Artur Martirosian: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Heath looked good for a double up when the flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, however when the rest of the board ran out {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts} it was the river that sealed the deal for Martirosian to send Heath to the exit.

Heath In Need of a Miracle; Martirosian Adds Chips

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ben Heath opened to 22,000 and Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind three-bet to 78,000, earning a call from the Brit. On a {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, both players checked to see the {10-Diamonds} turn for free. Vogelsang now bet 50,000 and Heath came along to see the {j-Spades} on the river.

Vogelsang bet 195,000, which represented almost the entire stack of Heath. The Brit tossed in a single chip and Vogelsang turned over {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a king-high straight.

One table over, Rob Yong opened to 25,000 in the hijack. David Yan three-bet to 75,000 in the cutoff and Artur Martirosian four-bet to 195,000 on the button, earning the pot after both opponents folded.

Thorel Has Hook on the Ropes

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu made it 22,000 to go and earned calls from Jean-Noel Thorel and Chalie Hook, the latter of which was in the big blind. The {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop was checked through and Hook then bet the {10-Spades} turn for 55,000, forcing out Kisacikoglu and earning a call from Thorel.

Once Hook bet the {k-Diamonds} river for 165,000, Thorel snap-called and Hook instantly said "you win" as the Frenchman tabled the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trips fives. Hook never showed his cards and dropped below the starting stack.

Artur Martirosian

Cary Katz limped in from under the gun and it folded to Artur Martirosian who limped from the cutoff. Stephen Chidwick called on the button and Chris Brewer completed from the small blind. Ben Heath took a moment before raising to 63,000 in the big blind and only Martirosian made the call.

The flop fanned out {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Heath kept up the aggression with a bet of 38,000, which Martirosian came along. The {4-Diamonds} hit the turn and Heath checked over to Martirosian who bet out 48,000. Heath used a time bank card before eventually making the call.

The {a-Hearts} completed the board and Heath checked over to Martirosian, who after a few seconds, announced all in. Heath went deep in the tank, contemplating his decision, before tossing his cards into the muck.

Kaverman Doubles Through Thorel

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Chalie Hook opened the action with a raise to 25,000 and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 95,000 on the button. Jean-Noel Thorel called in the small blind while Hook folded.

The {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop was checked by Thorel, who then called the all-in of Kaverman for the last 5,000.

Byron Kaverman: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

No two-outer followed on the {2-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river runout as Kaverman doubled to stay in contention.

Martirosian Chips Up With a Flop Raise

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 22,000 from under the gun and earned a call from Rob Yong on the button. Artur Martirosian also called out of the big blind. The {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop was checked by Martirosian and Vogelsang bet 20,000.

Yong then raised it up to 60,000 only for Martirosian to check-raise to 130,000, which got rid of Vogelsang. The Brit asked to see the stack of Martirosian but then let it go when he saw the Russian had another 300,000 behind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} turn. Ponakovs led out for 30,000 and Hook came along to the {4-Hearts} river.

Ponakovs took a moment before announcing a bet of 105,000 and Hook went deep in the tank. After using several time bank cards, Hook tossed in a chip for the call.

Ponakovs tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a missed straight draw and Hook opened {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the ace-high hero call, taking down the pot.
