Sperber Uses Position

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a limp from middle position, Shawn Sperber called from the button, Chase Raabe completed from the small blind, and Bel Roque checked his option.

They all checked the {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop, but when it checked to Sperber on the {k-Hearts} turn he fired 5,500 into the middle, which was enough to clear everyone else off. Sperber is now playing around six starting stacks.

Rempel Finds Ladies at the Right Time

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

The action started when a player raised under the gun to 6,000, a player in middle position called and the button called. Farrel Rempel moved all in for 45,000 from the big blind. The original raiser called and everyone else folded.

Rempel: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades} which meant Rempel just needed to fade a ten on the turn and the river. And he did just that as the board ran out {a-Diamonds} and {7-Hearts}.

"The Teach" Takes One on the Flop

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mark "Teach" Golub raised to 5,500 from the hijack, and only the big blind made the call. When the big blind checked the {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop, Golub tossed out another bet, this time for 7,500 and took down the pot.

Clisby Finds a Hand

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Chris Clisby was down to his last 16,500 chips, and had been folding garbage hands for an orbit or two. He finally found a hand he wanted to go with when it folded to him in late-middle position. He shoved, and it folded to Patrick Serda in the small blind, who quickly put in a call.

"I'm at the top of my range," Clisby joked as he showed {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Serda was on {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and even though Clisby was in a dominating position, it still wasn't easy as Serda turned the nut flush draw on the {2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board. Clisby was able to hold however, and now has a stack bigger the 10 big blinds again.

Paul Esposti was under the gun and raised to 6,500. Action got around to Calvin Haczkewicz on the button who moved all in for his last 37,500. Esposti made the call.

Haczkewicz: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Esposti: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

It was never a sweat as the board ran out {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Haczkewicz got the double up.

Diamond River Saves Silva

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Three players saw a flop {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} in a limped pot. Rodrigo Silva was in the big blind and bet 6,000, a player in middle position folded and the small blind raised to 15,000. Silva called.

The {5-Diamonds} fell on the turn and the player first to act bet 30,000. Silva gave it some thought before he moved all in for 58,000. The other player called and they turned their cards over.

Silva: {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Silva was behind but had outs heading to a river card. The river card was one of those outs as the {2-Diamonds} came, making Silva a flush and giving him a massive double up.

King of the Preflop War

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Terry King raised to 6,000 from the cutoff, and it folded around to the big blind, who three-bet to 17,500. King thought for a few seconds before counting out a four-bet worth 38,000 and tossing it in. The big blind couldn't handle the four-bet heat and released his hand.
