Michael Wang opened from the hijack with a raise to 20,000, and it folded to Daniel Negreanu on the button, and he three-bet to 55,000. It folded back to Wang, who made the call.
The flop came 2♦4♣Q♠ and Wang check-called a bet of 35,000 from Negreanu.
After the A♣ on the turn, Wang checked once again, and Negreanu bet once again, this time for 95,000. Wang took his time but eventually mucked to give the pot to Negreanu.
There was a three-way all in between Chi-Jen Chu, Aaron Kupin and Daniel VanDyke, who had both opponents covered.

Warren was dominated but quickly took the lead after the flop came 9♥6♥7♦. However, Warren's lead was short lived as the J♣ on the turn put Miller back in front, and he secured the pot once the 6♦ hit on the river, to eliminate Warren.
Philip Sternheimer quickly amassed the biggest stack of the tournament, but he lost it just as quickly and is now out of the event.
The fatal blow occurred when he got his in stack of around 515,000, which a short time earlier had been at over a million, in a heads-up pot against new chip leader Andrew Lichtenberger.

The flop of 7♣4♣8♣ increased Lichtenberger's outs, and the A♠ turn all but sealed it as the 5♠ river marked Sternheimer's elimination.
Not long later, Joao Simao was eliminated by Chad Eveslage at another table.

Both players checked the Q♥ on the turn, to see the 3♥ on the river. Lichtenberger then led out for a small bet of 17,000, and Sternheimer responded with a raise to 64,000. Lichtenberger took his time before three-betting to 215,000, and Sternheimer quickly flicked in a chip to call.
Lichtenberger then tabled K♠J♠ for a turned Broadway straight, and Sternheimer mucked his hand to give the sizable pot to Lichtenberger.
At a nearby table, Jermey Becker was eliminated.
Daniel Negreanu opened to 16,000 in middle position and Sam Soverel three-bet jammed a stack of 133,000 from the cutoff. Negreanu called.

Soverel survived the flip as the board ran out Q♥8♣3♦10♣10♥ to pair his queen for a double.
Michael Mizrachi was all in with a short stack against Andrew Lichtenberger to his right.

Mizrachi was dominated and couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out 10♦9♠3♥J♦5♠ to mark the reigning champion's elimination.
The only silver lining is that Mizrachi will make his flight, which is booked for later tonight.
"If I was playing a freeroll, I maybe wouldn't book my flight for that night!" Chino Rheem teased earlier in the tournament.
