2026 Poker Masters
Level: 9
Blinds: 3,000/6,000
Ante: 6,000
The players have been sent on a 20-minute break. This is the last chance to register, as Level 9 is the cutoff for hopping in.
Michael Berk raised from under the gun and Jeremy Becker called from the big blind.
Becker check-called for 8,000 on the A♦5♠3♥ flop before the 7♦ turn checked through to the 3♣ river. Becker led out for 14,000 and was called.
Becker tabled 6♠4♣ for a straight to take the pot.
Daniel Negreanu doesn't think Lucas Jumalon will be a one-hit wonder.
The Poker Hall of Famer, on a recent PokerNews Podcast, spoke glowing praises of the newest WSOP Main Event winner. Jumalon became the second-youngest World Champion ever a couple months ago when he took down poker's biggest event for $10 million.
Many past WSOP Main Event champs either took their money and ran or simply never had another major win. But Negreanu doesn't seem to think that's going to be the case with the young pro from Spokane, Washington.
Level: 8
Blinds: 2,500/5,000
Ante: 5,000
Justin Saliba opened from the hijack and was called by Brandon Wilson and Daniyal Gheba from the cutoff and big blind.
It checked to Wilson on the Q♥6♣4♠ flop, and he bet 9,500. Gheba called before Saliba made it 24,000. Only Wilson called.
Saliba check-called for 18,000 on the 7♠ turn, leaving him with 36,000 behind. Wilson asked for that amount on the J♣ river.
"Very hard to win here," Saliba muttered as he burned through a couple of time banks. In the end, he called for his tournament life.
Saliba said his goodbyes to the table after Wilson tabled 4♣4♥ for a set of fours.
Brian Batt opened to 12,000 from under the gun and called when Andrew Lichtenberger made it 33,000 from the cutoff.
The 9♦7♦6♣ flop checked through to the 6♠ turn, Batt bet 50,000 and took down the pot.
