The turn helped his cause, as the was one of those runner-runner outs. Unfortunately for him, the river blanked off, and he shipped all of his chips over to his opponent. Ioannou exits, while Demetriou is up to 77,000.

Casale, the big blind, and Pavlou checked. Nelson led the betting with a wager of 7,000. Grech folded and Bergdoll called. Everyone else folded.

Andrew Demetriou popped it up to 2,625 from middle position and Anthony Driscoll was the caller in the cutoff.
They saw a heads-up flop of where Demetriou bet out 3,000 and Driscoll made the call.
The turn was the and Demetriou checked to Driscoll who fired out 4,000 into the middle. Demetriou called as a big pot appeared to be developing.
The river landed the and this time Demetriou check-called the 5,000 chip bet of Driscoll who showed down for top pair. It was good as Demetriou folded, with the Crown Poker Player of The Year falling to 53,000.
John Dalessandri raised to 2,400 from the small blind, and Anthony Driscoll made the call in the big.

Fourth street came the , and both men checked.
The river card was the . Dalessandri once again fired, this time with 3,500 chips. Driscoll put in a small raise to 7,500, which was enough to cover his opponent. Dalessandri did indeed call off his final 6,950 chips. Driscoll turned over for two pair, aces up. Needing to win the pot to survive, Dalessandri tabled for a bigger two pair. He wins the pot, doubling up to just under 25,000.
Sherif Derias started the action with a raise to 2,400. Roy Fabien, Daniel Kochan and Karib Karib all made the call before Jamil Tito ruined the party by moving all in for 11,000.
Derias and Fabien folded, Kochan made the call as Karib folded saying that he folded pocket jacks.
It was a good fold as Tito showed pocket queens to be in good shape against Kochan's pocket eights.
The board ran out to jump Tito up to 30,000 with Kochan now back on the short stack with 10,000.

On the first hand, Sayed was faced with a big decision when Nali Kaselias moved all in for 44,000 on a flop of . The pot sat around 40,000 when Kaselias made the move. After tanking, Sayed folded and showed a king. Kaselias was nice enough to return the favor and showed . Sayed dropped to 60,000.
Just moments later, Sayed took a flush draw to war with another player's pocket jacks after the flop contained two hearts. The turn and river both bricked for Sayed and he lost another 20,000 to drop to 40,000 chips.
Firat Cakici started with a raise to 1,800 from under the gun. Next into the pot was David Webster, and he moved all in for 13,825. In the big blind, Van Tran made the overcall, prompting Cakici to lay his hand down.
