Ali Likes the Ladies

Celina Lin raised to 850 from under the gun, before Ali Khalil popped it up to 2,225 in position. Lin made the call and they went to the flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Lin checked to Khalil who fired 2,525 at the pot. Lin mucked {A-Spades}{K-?} face-up as Khalil flashed pocket queens!

Khalil is motoring with over 60,000 chips, with Lin just above her start stack of 20,000.

Moaref Cracks Sukkar's Aces

A short-stacked Emad Moaref got his last chips into the middle with {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} but Billy Sukkar woke up with pocket rockets in the big blind and made the instant call.

The flop was a good one for Moaref when it landed {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} to give him an open-ended straight draw but the turn was even better when the {6-Clubs} arrived to give Moaref the lead with a set.

The river bricked the {10-Clubs} to double Moaref to 14,000, with Sukkar dropping to 28,000.

Topakas Storms Out

Steve Topakas has been eliminated after taking hits on two consecutive hands. First his {A-?}{K-?} fell to an opponent's {A-?}{Q-?} when a queen hit the board, and he followed that up by running {A-?}{7-?} once again into {A-?}{Q-?}.

Once felted, Topakas angrily slammed his chair against the table and left with a barrage of expletives.

Tito: {J-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The board arrived {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs} giving Tito trip jacks and the pot to end the tournament of Kinkade.

Ghobrial Won't Let Minh Win

In a battle of the blinds, Minh Nguyen came in raising to 1,000 from the small. In the big, Jim Ghobrial reraised to 4,500, and Nguyen came right back with a third raise to 9,000. Ghobrial called, and it was heads up with a big hunk of chips already in the middle.

The flop rolled out {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}. Nguyen kept the heat on with a bet of 7,000, prompting Ghobrial to move all in. That was all Nguyen could handle, as he tossed his hand into the discard pile. He has been knocked back to 25,000, while Ghobrial is up to 41,000.

Kinkade Hits Speed Hump

[Removed:505] raised from early position to 800 with Darko Balaban and Jason Speedy making the call in position.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the action checked around. The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Kinkade led for 1,700. Balaban folded before Speedy popped it up to 4,000 on the button. Kinkade deliberated before making the call.

The river landed the {5-Clubs} and Kinkade checked to Speedy, who was content to check behind. He revealed {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the flush which was good as Kinkade mucked.

Kinkade falls to about 8,000 with Speedy now up to 32,000.

Sometimes, Sharing Isn't a Good Quality

Matthew Brinckley raised to 1,200 from under the gun. Both Michael Tran and Ian Burchell made the call. The flop came down {Q-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}.

Brinckley bet 6,000, Tran called, and then Burchell moved all in for 26,700. Brinckley made the all-in call for his last 11,100 and this sent Tran into the tank. He decided to fold his hand and showed {A-?} {Q-Diamonds} -- letting top pair, top kicker slide into the muck. The two other players exposed their cards for the showdown with the turn and river still to come.

Showdown:
Brinckley: {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}
Burchell: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

The dealer quickly ran out the turn and river -- {7-Diamonds}, {2-Diamonds} -- and Brinckley chopped the pot up with Burchell. The only player that lost out on this hand was Tran when he folded the same hand that both his opponents held.
