Linkius Takes from Langrock

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A raise by Sarunas Linkius was followed by a three-bet of Sebastian Langrock from one seat over and the Lithuanian called to see a flop of {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Linkius check-called a bet before the {J-Hearts} turn was checked through.

After the {9-Clubs} river, Linkius bet 8,500 into 32,000 and Langrock was struck. "Do you have ace-queen? Ace jack of diamonds?" Langrock could not quite figure it out, and the table chat of Linkius was of no help either.

"I fold," Langrock announced while all other tables were already in break. Linkius flashed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Langrock stormed off with a "how could you call the flop? I had pocket tens."

The Seat Open Pile Up

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Holger Bansner left Matous Skorepa short after he doubled with {A-Spades}{7-Spades} against the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} of the Czech on a board of {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. However, Bansner busted right after against Karol Radomski while Olaf was the next casualty soon after on the very same table.

Andreas Voss shoved for the second hand in a row and Olaf called for less with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Voss only had {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} but got there on the board of {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Five players saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and each player checked. The turn brought the {2-Spades} and one player checked to Daniel Barnsteiner who bet 6,000. Yordy Bakker called and the other three players all folded.

The river was the {4-Spades} and both players checked.

Barnsteiner showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Bakker mucked. Bakker still is sitting comfortable with a stack of over 100,000.

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Edgaras Pipine
Edgaras Pipine

There were two limps before Edgaras Pipine raised to 3,500 from the cutoff. The two limpers both called and the three players saw a flop.

The flop came {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and each player checked. The turn was the {4-Spades} and the first limper bet 3,600. The second folded, but Pipine called. The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Pipine's opponent checked.

Pipine bet 4,100 and his opponent check-raised all in for 21,800. Pipine tanked for a while before calling. His opponent tapped the table and showed {7-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a bluff.

The Lithuanian showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for pocket Aces and took down the pot.

Regner Rising

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Milan Topoly
Milan Topoly

Cenk Oguz and Felix Regner saw the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} turn with 23,000 in the middle and the former checked while the latter pushed. Oguz had slightly more chips than the size of the pot and folded.

One hand later, Fenix opened to 2,300 and Regner called, as did Milan Topoly in the big blind. The latter checked the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop and just Regner called a continuation bet by Fenix. On the {4-Clubs} turn, Fenix checked and Regner won the pot uncontested by betting 8,000.

Just a few minutes later, Topoly sent his stack over to Fenix and busted for the second time on Day 1c.

Linkius Doubles a Lithuanian

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Sarunas Linkius had been very active on his table and three-bet a lot of hands to build his stack. Just now he did so again before havving to call off the shove of a fellow Lithuanian for little more. Linkius showed {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and faced the {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} of the big blind.

The board came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Linkius took a small hit to his stack for 12 big blinds.

Below are further updated counts of current players on Day 1c.

Setback for Ciakas; Van De Linde Thriving

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

In an already big pot, Deividas Ciakas called the shove of the big blind on the river {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for 9,000 still and was shown {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Ciakas flashed pocket eights for the inferior full house and dropped some chips.

Roland Van De Linde however is doing much better and just confirmed that he boosted his stack to more than 100,000. The Dutchman had flopped top pair and top kicker with ace-king and an opponent mucked a king before leaving the table.
