Garles' Got The Goods

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Tim Garles opened to 600 from middle position before Dennis Snowdy clicked it 1,200 on his direct left. The big blind called before Garles four-bet to 4,600.

Snowdy let go of his hand but the big blind called.

The big blind led out for 1,000 on the J98 flop and then called when Garles made it 6,000.

The big blind, with around 9,000 behind, check-folded when Garles put him all in.

The big blind exposed that he had AK while Garles tabled his 1010 after the hand.

Snowdy then made it clear that he made an excellent fold with ace-jack.

Jacks For Soma

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A player in middle position opened to 600 before Leo Soma three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack. The button, big blind and original raiser all called.

Soma continued for 3,000 on the 944 flop and only the big blind called.

The A turn checked through to the 5 river and the big blind led out for 3,500. Soma quickly called.

The big blind tabled 77 for sevens and fours, but it was no good against Soma's JJ.

Eric Benhamron opened from middle position before the button made it 1,100. The small blind called, and Matthias De Clercq did the same from the big blind.

Benhamron then four-bet to 5,500, prompting the button to click to 13,600. The small blind, unaware of the five-bet, put in 5,500, which he then surrendered. De Clerq also folded.

Benhamron then moved all in for 29,100 and was snap-called by the button with a slightly bigger stack.

Button: AK

The button had a gutshot to Brodway following the J102 flop and picked up some extra outs on the K turn. The 7 river was a brick, and Benhamron scooped an early double.
